Just a quick question, did you use the Prime with a DA? I've only ever used it by hand but assume it'd be tons easier with a machine.
Most of the plastics underneath my car are held together by cable ties. All I do is make a hole in the bit that plastic that's loose and find a loop somewhere close on the bumper/chasis that you can tie it to. Failing that, make a hole in the closest bit of plastic and tie it to that.

Just to update this for anybody that may be doing the same. This is for the outer CV boot.
You'll need a 70-90 clip for the wider end and 25-35 for the smaller end.
Right enjoyed today, will definitely be attending the next one and I will have my headlights done by then :tongueclosed:

Just chucked a bucket of water over the car but looking at the weather, I shouldn't have bothered haha. Supposed to rain until 11 or so according to iPhone weather.
From feeling the boot, it doesn't seem to have much grease left in it so going to bang some more in before securing it back in place. Did you use clips on yours? I'm thinking to use jubilee clips on mine as I don't have the tool for the proper clips but don't know the size.

I noticed my near side one is leaking grease as someone has put a cable tie on the small end and it's worked its way loose. Fun job for me to do before Sunday haha.

Not near the car at the moment but could do with knowing this. When knocking my bumper brackets out of the way yesterday, I noticed that the smaller end of the CV boot had been leaking grease as someone had cable tied it and it had come loose. The CV boot itself is fine so I'm planning...
Oh we made them fit at the top some how haha. May have a bash at refitting the adjusters tonight as low as they can go to stop the scraping. Hopefully my trusty breaker bar will be able to get the nuts off that we put on with the gun @dann2707!
