I'm by no means a big guy but coming from my Audi when I could have my bum rubbing on the road, I feel like I'm on a stool driving my 182. Really felt the benefit of removing the spacers, however new seats seem the way to go.
We do most long journeys in my GF's brand new Mini as it's much more...
I get this with mine. If I put my foot down in 1st, 2nd or 3rd, get the revs right up, then take my foot off the accelerator, it get a massive knock/clunk sound.
Sounds like it's coming from the LHS of me when driving.
Please read my post again, I've removed the bungs/spacers/whatever you want to call them. And I've done a search but all it brings up is just to remove the bungs/spacers/whatever or other results are all about buckets, which is not what I'm after.
That user hasn't been on here in over a month...
Hi All,
Ever since I've bought my Bean, the driving position has bugged me. I came from an 2007 A3 where the driving position was spot on as you could get the seat properly low, which I liked. I've removed the spacers and was happy for a week or 2 until I got used to it and then it still felt...
Sounds good to me, I'm off to the lakes tomorrow for the weekend anyway. Just need to get the camber bolts ordered at some point as well. May even be cheeky and ask for you to show me how to fit my bigger knob.
Still got you on WhatsApp I think so I'll drop you a message next week :)
I just got a set from them as well but got them to do it without the postcode and BSAU which they happily did.
Considering FancyPlates wanted double the price for the exact same thing, they're a bargain.
Mines due belts doing and I'm going to be servicing it in the next month or so so hopefully that should help. Oh, and sort my blowing exhaust out haha.
My tag didn't work either @Matthew haha.
Fancy meeting before hand @dann2707 and travelling over to the meeting point? Should hopefully be able to get to this one, don't think I've anything planned.
Trust me, I'd find a way of buggering it up.
There is that too haha. @Yorkshire I'm in Middleton/Rothwell.
I'm off to Isle of Wight Festival this weekend so I won't be free until the weekend after anyway. Also, lad that I bought my coilovers off forgot to send the c spanner and adjusters...
Hi all,
Finally got round to getting some coilovers and was looking at getting them fitted at a garage but fancied getting to grips and learning how to do them myself. However, I'm a complete spaz with cars so really need someone to give me a hand (Read: Do them for me while I watch/make...
I've got the same kind of problem but with a Piper exhaust. It's fine up until around 2.5k revs but as soon as you properly put your foot down, it sounds really raspy and 'not right'.
How did you test to see whether yours was blowing or not?
Literarily just got round to ordering a set earlier today. FancyPlates wanted £27!! Wasn't paying that so went on eBay and found a company where you select whether you wanted text and code on the bottom or not, so got a plain set for £12 delivered :)
