This is a good link for ''causes and effects '' http://www.trackpedia.com/wiki/Vehicle_Dynamics_-_Cause_and_Effect_Guide#BRAKES
I have drilled the holes bigger and an extra 3rd hole between the original 2 on the mounting plates using M8 8.8HT bolts, this will guarantee no/less movement than the supplied screws.
The control Ktec suspension for this series is the Spax RSX coilovers but with up rated valves and springs.

Pete my car weighs in at the mid 870s (wet) so is relatively light, however again it still locked up with ds2500 last year. I was thinking it could be pad drag, i.e where the pad does not release from the disc, the ds1.11 are. A pad that claims it minimises this, and i must admit it locked up...
Tom & Pete, Yep thats right, Its manly one side that locks up, but only breifly, like threshold breaking, but happens if im too keen on the brakes. Its like the brakes are too good, maybe due to a number of things, car weight, excessive camber, hot tyres, work tyres etc, but having run the...
I managed to change the clutch by raising the engine slightly and splitting the box in situ, its very tight but just enough room. Bearing in mind though that mines a cup without aircon etc
RussRallye I miss the characteristics of the oem brakes, simple on/off breaking. The Wilwoods, you just have to be so gentle and moderate the braking, otherwise they lock up, im having to brake slightly earlier into corners which is not good, I think either the car is too light or I need wider...
Bit of an update, last month I changed out all the spark plugs, checked for water as mentioned but dry as a bone and also changed out all pencil coils. My friend reported that the car drove a lot better, but the hesitation problem still remained.
He described that when accelerator pedal is flat...
Mid July update:
With the ASTs on, the next job was to remove the Wilwoods, and re installed the oem calipers, with this done I bled the front system with RBF600 (my choice of brake fluid) also I shall be ordering some DS1.11 pads again from G on payday, be interesting to see what they are like...
Re: 'Cub's Trackday Flamer - Cage etc'
I have the same impact wrench, what power model did you go for? Think mine was 200nm
Shame I didnt get time to have a proper mooch around your car at Snett
I would have said pop it over, but working like crazy at the moment (everyday for next 2 weeks) so finding it hard to even do work on my car.
If your have done work on your car its relatively easy.
Jack car up on axle stands, remove front road wheels then losen the outer tie rod nut, this can...
I changed mine the other week using a 32mm fan spanner, no probs at all, was fairly easy....however putting the rubber boots back on tested my patients.
yep sportline 1 are indeed 4100 and 2's are 5100. I have a feeling these will be very different ;)
