On a serious note, a open...
yes dear, im sure miniscual amount of oil are going to set the whole car on fire and im gunna be driving one day and not notice and BOOM im dead :clown: Ah well at least my TB was clean ey ;)
How many people use that on there car though lol!
I used fairy liquid on my old car all the time (twas fine) :)
I wont take the piss haz but that was a funny comment!
Not rubbish but the experienced mechanics on here recommend using only OEM mounts. So id tend to lean towards agreeing with them.... I await to be prooved wrong however
Obviously doesn't know much about N20 to be fair Alex. It just has a bad reputation for dickheads sticking a 100hp shot in there 75hp french bag and wondering why it blew up.
Well I bloody wonder. :approve:
Used in moderation its honestly fine. @ Sambo Get yourself onto the WON forums and...
Sorry thats just what mr TRW said. But hes right about consulting professional advice. Personally wouldnt have a problem running dry on 25 but get advice! And deffo get a WON kit
Hmm.. Interesting! If you lived nearer or local i'd gladly do it with you, but your probably better off finding soundone round the notts area... Good luck!!
Coming from someone who has used N20 before (not me a friend). I can advise you that a 25hp shot will be fine dry. You do not need additonal fuel for a such a small boost on a 1*2 anyway. The internal engine sensors seem to do there job just fine. But you will want more than 25....
40bhp...
lol about as easy as getting a pipe and feeding it through the workings. Pointless in my opinion as the itg will pick up cool air anyway. its just gunna pick up more crap and water with an extra feed
Generally on cars with a cable throttle it is used on the butterfly where the cable opens the valve. Obviously this cant be done on FBW throttle
Much easier than mounting under the pedal fyi
What size engine rover was it. Im sure if used at the correct time it would have been fine but if its used recklessely (especially on a rover engine then waht do you expect?)
I personally wouldnt go above 35 at the very max runing dry relying on the engine sensors to adjust the fuel you would...
What gear you use it in isnt going to effect the engine blowing (unles maybe 1st too much torque going through clutch/gearbox) - Dry injects just n20 wet does petrol and n20.
25 shot dry on a 1.8/2.0 will be fine IMO.
Any bigger i would look into a wet system but i wouldnt go over a 50...
Ahh okay i got you. How much can these system compensate? (ei extra air before it exceeds what they can manage)
Jusr remember seeing a leafblower being attached to an intake and made me chuckle i'm assuming it could cope with a small boost.
Thankyou for the explanation Burp.
GordonD: Surely the pressure will drop when the butterfly is opened as the inlet is being restricted by the butterfly causing a pressure build up. Im sure your right and im wrong but thats just how i interpreted it
Any idea on what the knock correction is...
Not a problem as such just would like to understand my car a little better...
Primarily what factors effect the fuelling of the car and how do they work together I'm assuming the ECU has several different inputs that it uses to calculate delivery such as;
Map sensor - Calculates pressure...
