If your in doubt about jump starting a vehicle all you need to do is ensure that the battery voltages are the same if so then its fine.

It is fine to do, but remeber that water will seep into the plug holes and corrode the plugs. Dry them off after in my opinion to prevent that from happening

As long as the airbox is at the top then its going to be fine. If you have a viper or similar with fog air feed then you will have problems

Hmm, maybe next time just ask for the part and fit it yourself I dont trust anyone to do anything to my car id much prefer do it myself (other than cambelt) Im really puzzled as to how those scratches got on the screen

Find a garage that will stick it on the courtesy car for 20 quid or something, i know somewhere local to me that do it.

If you can get hold of a throttle body id try that. Sounds as though he perhaps gave it a clean.

If you are sensible then dont put your air intake by the fog if you live in areas that are liable to flood

I'v had my plenum off about 4 times still on the same seal no problem, seems a bit wasteful getting a new seal everytime if there is nothing wrong with the old one.
