^That should be fine, although it might be a bit dodgy regarding the quality. You'd expect to pay probably double that for just one Hoya filter.
But for experimenting and starting out it should be ok.
Not much....probably a few. But that's not what it's for. Its about improving the efficiency throughout the rev range.

^Good to hear (no pun intended!) I cant quite justify the £300+ ones, but anything up to £150 would be ok. Anyone know of anything in that price range?

It's known that the idle can be a bit lumpy, and it rattles a bit, but otherwise...sounds like you have a knackered one!
I did it, but then I go on track with mine. If you will never go on track , don't bother.
It's quite noisy, and looks pikey :)
And it depends on your definition of 'strip'. A lot of people deem taking the rear seats out as stripping!
