Yeah they're a pain torx, almost guaranteed to be hammering an oversized one in at some point on a job that should be simple. Exhaust clamps are usually bad as well, they seem to corrode more than anything else and snap.
Well today's been a rare job on the 182. Wifey has been moaning that there's a rattle at the rear whenever she goes over a bump so it was time to investigate. Luckily I have a ramp to my front door that you can drive one side of the car up and make a natural little pit. Thankfully there was...
That's one of the worst things going when the bolt snaps or lets go and you punch whatever's behind it. Just been trying to avoid doing the same on my exhaust because I must have lost a fair amount of claret last time I went near it
Although I did break mine (first one I've broken out of a few I've done). Usually just come off with a twist and a pull. I've got a spare so I'm not overly fussed.
Fitting the 200 steering wheel was a bigger ball ache than it should have been and included more swearing than it should. The old wheel wasn't too bad to remove and the new one fitted ok. I meant to do a guide on this but was at my parent's house doing it and my phone battery went dead so no...
Anyone got any tips or suggestions around getting the horn to work? Fitted the wheel, sorted the connectors but no joy. Struggling to get the airbag back off as well to check.
Yeah I probably can do that, just with me having Brembos, an RS Tuner and a Whiteline ARB sat waiting to be fitted it's gone to the back of the queue. I'd quite like to swap the tip to a 3" though as I'm not the biggest fan of the oval one.
The problem with mine is that it's quite a small tip on the exhaust and only slightly cut at the moment. It's what a previous owner did. If I'd done it myself I wouldn't have done it without the 182 surround.
Yeah we were having a chat with him for a bit, it's a nice LCR. The 172 surprised me, my brother's ST is somewhere around 270-280bhp and it only started gaining ground in 4th gear. I'd been missing my Focus ST until I bought this. Just need to get some of the upgrades fitted, holidays paid for...
