Looks good, I like the changes.
I had the Brembo's put on this week and they're a good upgrade. Looking forward to see how they stand up to a track day. Found the travel between the initial bite of the brakes and them being fully applied is longer though. I'm considering a 197 master cylinder...
Been investigating noises a little further. Did some work on the brake line where it runs through a clip, between the hard line and flexi. Thought I'd solved it with some modification (is now secure), only to find that the noise is the o/a cv joint. Back into SC Autos on Monday for a new joint...
Well there's finally some updates in advance of Oulton next week. Had the Brembo 4 pots installed, new fluid and braided lines, an oil and filter change done, steering rack bushes tightened (still not right mind you) and the horn fixed.
Wasn't without its headaches though. We had a bleed...
My clutch is a bit like an on/off switch on the 172. The 182 we have though is nowhere near as bad. Lubricating the clutch pedal has helped but it's still far from perfect, along with the bit of a judder I get I'm assuming the clutch is due a swap.
The kits available for the RS/ST?... Well I prefer the K-Sports yes. I'll leave judgement on other applications or kits of theirs until I've tried them. On the Focus they're excellent though. I'm speaking from experience as well, have you tried either kit in one of these?..
Yeah, link's under my avatar. Spending on the house of late has kept my budget to a shoe string though. Coming up are Brembo's, replacing some other consumables, and then some track days for me. Thankfully I got my power fix out of the Focus ST I had previously. It was too quick for the chassis...
Fine when warmed up, hot water poured on them is fine. There is a slight shade difference from the paint having faded (you need to be looking for it though) and some residual glue will need removing that can be a little time consuming. My pal's getting the machine polisher on it next week though.
Well even done by hand for now my headlight is looking better. Not perfect by any stretch but the plastic is too damaged at the bottom. Can live with it on a 123k 172.
Would then ensure you didn't fall foul of reason 2 for rejection, a headlamp levelling device inoperative.
Will bear that in mind if I swap some xenons onto our Cup.
