Got to love the tread pattern and the shape of them looks so aggressive and purposeful.
Like I mentioned the other day, in the dry you can really lean on them on the limit, even understeer is very controllable on the ragged edge. I noticed turn in was noticeably improved because of the...
:beers:
Never ceases to amaze me the level of care and attention to detail that go into your cars mate. The joy of owning from new and doing it properly!
Cheers! It would seem it's a problem with the motor coming off a phase 1 then. Weird considering it's the same tailgate/window as the phase 2 but oh well, we'll see.
RB looks awesome!
I've said it once I'll say it again, what were Renault thinking when they put two Renault Sport/RS badges on the back of the new 200T's? Weird.
You do have to spend quite a bit of time on them with the restoration. Took about an hour for each light on mine, the before and after is in my project thread.
You're not wrong! Joined the forum when I was 13, so it's definitely a relief to finally have one.
Fortunately had some time driving Brett's 172 on track before I owned this, did my first track day 3 months after passing my test, followed by another 2 in it, so I already got a taste of it.
Thought it was about time to start a project thread for my car.
Bought it back in late November looking like this:

Not ideal, but the important bits were all good...
So yesterday afternoon myself and @Christopher met up to do some pics, and a long overdue catch up. Been about 3 years or so since I last got some photos of Chris's 200 (as can be seen with the AG 200 on the banner on here), and about the same length of time since I last took photos of cars...
Make sure they're alright when you fit them though mate, I have an aftermarket one on the O/S of mine (previous owner put it on) and it rubs on the engine block, might be different for the phase 1 ones, just make sure anyway. I'm getting an OEM shaft for mine.
Can't decide if I like FD2's or not. Part of me thinks they look too big for an NA 2.0 engine. Also just seem to resemble a weird 5 door saloon version of a Civic with a load of Type R branded bits strapped to them to try and make it look special. Looks more like an Accord than a Civic really...
My old 1.2 is back up for sale after not selling before Christmas. Now has a fresh MOT, done Feb 20th so it's good to go for another year. Has a set of AD08R's on it too, with about 2-2.5mm on them (if that's any bonus to somebody).
Ebay listing tells you everything you need to know -...
I second this, did this with my 1.2. I put some AD08R's on mine, absolutely hilarious body roll but the grip was actually really impressive. Had loads of fun.
