B14's are apparently a bit soft for track. H&R's are a good choice.
I've just bought some BC Racing DR's with adjustable solid top mounts, they're the best fast road/track compromise I've seen, great ride, then decent stiffness for track when you adjust the dampers to hard, so I'd definitely...
Just standard, so 32-30. Can't really compare since these are the only set of tyres I've had on this on the road, I don't have a problem with the feel though. What did you run previously?
T1R's are shite though I know that.
Yeah potentially that could have done it maybe, in combo with the heat etc. I'm no expert on it really.
Maybe @George@RTR_Parts could advise on what causes it?
Never heard of it happening on those. Heard of it happening on the Carbone Lorraines on a number of occasions. DS1.11's should be perfect for your needs just as a track car really, shame that's happened. Usually happens because people run track pads on the road which have no weather protection...
Also worth changing your fluid if you're running standard stuff, otherwise the standard stuff will boil really easily. The ATE Type 200 is cheap and really good.
Fair enough. It isn't too bad drone wise when on partial throttle or cruise at like 70 ish, but above that it is a bit noisy for a motorway car really. Well worth it for when you're giving it some though!
Sounds good! That the Type 200 or the PBF 660?
Me and James are doing similar on mine soon funnily enough, new rear disks and pads, all of the remaining Powerflex stuff I haven't already done, and other stuff.
