why don't you post a video up before getting nay work done so we can confirm? Its very difficult to pinpoint sounds on an engine (sounds are 'thrown' a lot).
Not sure you understood this, the problem is that they can be very easily over-tightened. 175nm doesn't feel that much when doing them up. Also using Mintex ones wont help, should have used OE.
first picture doesn't show at all (have you linked it up wrong?), next 2 pictures are too dark, 4th picture is awesome - best of the lot! 6th picture is also not showing.
-edit, the mentioned pictures are now showing all ok. I like picture 6 (my second favourite after picture 4).
You and me both. People who do this sort of thing should be put down!
Park it in the exactly the same place tonight, but this time point a camera on it all night - you might get lucky and the fucker might come back to do more damage (thinking you haven't go the point yet). I would be sooo...
OK here my shots. I have a new shot of the day (first picture below)!
McGherkin testing out a bridge... The wood was a bit soft and flexing quite a bit, I made it across though on McGherkins recommendation of safety (of '...its fine' lol), good thing to as I cant swim to save my life...
First off, Happy birthday for last Friday! Hope you had a good day yesterday?
After closer inspection, it definitely seems the decat is at fault; with it off the car the gasket barely fits inside the end even if you push it. To me, it seems like that haven't made the flange wide enough. I might...
I got home really quick! decide to go the motorway as I filled up at the marsh mills Sainsbury's.
+1. Karting was brilliant fun! McGherkin was fastest, followed by Ed then myself. I kept spinning out as its super slippery on the inside track and I was having troubles with 2 corners (one that...
hmmm. Im all out of ideas then im afraid :( I code in c# practically everyday, but haven't touched vb6 in almost 10 years, its a very old language to be writing a program in!
this program appears to use .ocx support files, one of them being isAnalogLibrary.ocx - if you installed the older version via an install shell, it may have registered these for you already, but an older version than what may be required for the new version. It might be nothing to do with this...
Thanks. I have contacted scorpion as I think it may be a dodgy batch (just seen someone else had the exact same problem as me a few months ago, but didn't post a resolution).
Its a 182 with the standard 4-2-1 manifold. the gasket wont squash anymore than it is in the pic. The metal is quite...
scorpion exhausts on ebay iirc. It has the welded identification plate on it and came with all warranty documents so not a fake.
edit- it was from a seller called 'ybcarsuk', not scorpion exhausts directly.
the springs were shorted on the new fitting kit, so I sued them in conjunction with the old bolts temporarily. The old bolts+ old springs leave not thread, the new bolts + new springs leave the same lack of thread.
As the decat isn't going over the gasket very much, it leaks when the engine is...
^^ checked all ok.
It was too dark to use my phone, so I tried with eh slr but its a bit big to fit under the car and get a good angle/focus! anyway, you can see form this pic how much gasket is still showing...
I probably should have mentioned that the old kit bolts/springs/washers also aren't long enough (they were only just long enough with the worn gasket).
My manifold to decat joint was leaking a bit, so I bought a new fitting kit from nwp. Went to put it on the car today, and there is absolutely no way I can fit the springs/washers and still get the nut on the bolt! Is there a trick im missing? Or is the scorpion decat a flawed design? The flange...
