I can very much relate to this, which is half my problem i feel. It is very very easy to buy things for cars that are old, need a little tinkering/arent perfect condition. As you say, a few hundred quid here & there add up very quickly!! Off the top of my head i've spent about 2 grand on...

The Trendlines will have clio>Recaro bottom mounted subframe. Any decent buckets will need side mounts, then side mount > floor subframes. Then sliders in between the side mounts/floor subframes if needed.

Yup, they're lipped, so crud gathers on the inside & they rust from the inside out. You would have thought they'd learn from the rear arches on the e36, but no ... still, its not that hard to change, bolt on, bolt off iirc.

I'll be honest, that looks absolutely terrible. And those seats? Bet they hold you well when attempting to put boost into the tarmac lol.
