My MK1 Audi titty 1.8t Quattro (apparently boring content)

lol, they're common as they came on standard on pretty much all TT's from 2002 until 2006 ... GSF price will be for a non-OEM one, which tbh, will probably be fine, not like you'll keep the car longterm anyway ;)

    trophy nr1

To be honest, if i wanted the best hot hatch money could buy, i'd probably pay that. 10 grand imho is actually pretty good for a car that offers as much fun as the Trophy.

You HAVE to buy genuine RSTT's or it will look sh1te. The offset is NEVER correct on the reps, so the dish looks wrong. In addition, anyone with half a brain will no that they are reps instantly. Buy OEM, they arent exactly expensive...

Iirc the proper Ross-Tech VCDS (which i have) allows you to do it as well, but you need some additional 'secret' codes - to try & avoid fraud, etc. Still, it does allow you to check the car has the genuine mileage on it, or whether it has been rolled back ...

My MK1 Audi titty 1.8t Quattro (apparently boring content)

To be honest (& if you wanted to of course), you could buy one on 237k & 10 minutes later it could say 66k lol. You only need a proper copy of VAG-COM ...

    FAO BMW Geeks

If its overheated It'll quite possibly need a new engine. Essentially, the head gasket blows due to overheating, the head warps, the aluminum in the block weakens - causing the head bolts to pull out of the block, usually permanently damaging it. Personally, id give it a wide berth, esp With...

Lol, so by the time you've done the massive service & bought the 18's, you could have just bought a facelift one. uFail ;)

Looks alright, needs the tints removing & the s-line 18s asap though!!! Oh, and the grey insert headlights, the black ones look really old fashioned now imho ...

    Keeping it strictly N/A

Have a read of this thread: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?578473-172-Cup-Racecar Nick's one of my best mates, & looked into building his car into a competitor in the CSCC Tin Tops series. In the end, he broke the car, was simply going to cost too much to be competitive in the...

    Keeping it strictly N/A

Depends on budget really, but the Burpspeed guys have probably stuck 15k+ into their clio, & the Honda's still win pretty much every race. They are ex-touring car spec cars afterall, with pretty much limitless budgets. The 1.6 class from memory has more 'normal' people in it, with the costs of...

    Keeping it strictly N/A

Two questions: 1. Have you raced before? 2. Are you wanting to be properly competitive in the 2.0 class? Imho, if you are wanting to be properly competitive in your class, go 1.6 ...

Mrs Had An Accident In My Car

Whereas now people just buy & insure a 1.1 fiesta, get their mum to 'own/insure' the M3 (for cheap) and then drive it under their fiesta's 3rd party cover ...

    Audi got downgraded :-(

Looks better, but imho you now you need to swop the RS4's for the proper 'S-line' wheels from that era:

Nick172Cup's Arctic Blue Clio 182 FF Comfy Daily/Trackcar.

Looks pretty good for the half bag of crisps & partly eaten Mars bar that you paid for it ;) Spec list sound good, albeit slightly familiar. You do need green Recaro's though, they'd clash lovely with the blue.

Finally got the ///M - Byzanz Metallic BMW E36 M3 Evo Saloon.

lol @ retrofitting the sodding wood. I do understand your thought process though Nick - as BMW intended is a good way to do things. Although admitedly i'm retrofitting some refurbed 'Carbon Cube' trim from the normal Sport model to mine - instead of the M3 'Titan Shadow' stuff. So thats OEM+...

    RS2 vs Cams

It was designed to maximise the potential of an internally standard engine, Tom never really got to mess about with cams as well. Bar James' small experiment with the C&Bs. The theory is that it could work with cams, but the CAD work & other airflow modelling (or whatever he did) was based on...

    RS2 vs Cams

My new Saxo VTS: Two Tone content.

Glad you're enjoying it!! Always make me giggle on here, people slate the saxo constantly, then spend £££'s making their clio handle like one, ie rear ARB & stiffer suspension for a more nervous/twitchy rear end, combined with more front camber for a better turn in. Plebs. I still maintain that...

    Track Car - MOT

I would suggest Phil, that this MOT is similar to the 'engine from pre-1993 car has been fitted' note that allows the tester to test for higher emmissions, ie for de-catted cars. Not overly sure how legal that is, but apparently it works for some people, & probably covers the MOT testers...

182 Trophy, Should I for a few months?

Buying a Trophy is just like any other car really. But pay close attention to the following: 1. Cambelt, etc - needs to have been done at a specialist that isnt ret4rded 2. Sachs front dampers need refurbing every once in a while, it costs £500, so try to buy one thats had it done recently...

182 Trophy, Should I for a few months?

Great cars. Would be very easy to buy one, then punt it on in a few months time without losing money. Problem is, after a few months it will have got under your skin & you'll never want to get rid ... Hence why i still have mine, when i was supposed to sell it upon purchase of the M3!!!
