Simply put, they don't need it! The Ferrari I do has carbon ceramics so anything other than PH neutral stuff is a huge "no, no". And the Porsche I do is so frequently looked after being me that the wheels are always protected. It's just a "do I need to use this product" kind of situation...

Ive been using Smartwheels from Autosmart recently. Non-acidic and actually does a really good job. I bought it for some of the more 'minging' cars I do, once in a while, and it wont be going anywhere near the higher end stuff. However, its good! Very dilutable and effective.

    The new TV thread

No mate! In all fairness, it's a bedroom TV. Alright, the fire stick is plugged in but it's no sky box or whatever. So maybe I'm not the best person to ask. However, it's been relatively flawless for me. A couple of minor issues that I'm willing to overlook based on the age of the TV: The...

Henry is surely the logical option then? I picked up a 120v Henry refurbished by some council estate fella for £65. It's been through the pits and it keeps coming back for more!

On the dusty front: Ive definitely had some LSP's get dusty more quickly than others. But actually advertising it as 'dust repellent'...hmmm. Not so sure on that one. There must be some science behind it, or else they couldnt advertise it surely? Or is it a bit like the duration thing - '6...

So, finished a big one the other day. Chuffed with the results (as was the customer!). Full machine polish with coating (inc glass). F Type Jag, Supercharged V8 and the rare RWD model. BRG over cream with the optional bucket seats (Spec was off the charts actually). Lovely lovely chap...

    The Cars Spotted Appreciation Thread

I distinctly remember reading something about this, although I believe it was defined as being more specific to Germany. Theres an element of modesty about it. Owning a brand new car is seen as 'showing off', is how I understood it anyway. Keeping older cars is a more modest way of living as...

    Clio 182 Turbo

Not sure on your levels of "detailing" abilities so sorry if I'm teaching you to suck eggs. C4, having used it a few times, can go wrong. Prep is key. Almost neat APC scrub, rinse, dry, panel wipe (if you have it), let that flash off and then apply C4. Grab a couple of cotton buds too as there...

    Clio 182 Turbo

@Yarp have you thought about a coating on the skuttle? Gtechniq C4 is ace for that kind of thing. Can do it in situ and it lasts years. Big scrub with some apc first, rinse, dry, then apply and level after. Its amazing stuff Also, absolutely love how you immediately resort to violence when...

Thats what i thought! Then again, we dont know the circumstances. It might just be some utter beater that gets its wheels properly washed twice a year. But, yeah, not a chance ill be going in neat! I have got 2 proper rotters coming in over the next few weeks so ill give it a go at 1:3 and see...

Nice, thanks for the heads up. The AS rep told me he tends to use it neat on his wifes car after a blast with the pressure washer. I wont be doing that. Iirc the bottle says 1:3 so ill dilute that way to start with. As I told him, I dont tend to work on minging cars that often so I wont be...

Yeah, im gonna give that a swerve I think @imprezaworks Im sure its fine, but with some of the motors I work on, I just cant take the risk. Same way id never use TFR. Annoyingly, after a reasonably big purchase from In2Detailing (Coating, mini rotary, rotary extension kit and some other...

For reference, this is the main area of concern. Highlighted yellow (kind of). Stock Google image and it's hard to see. But it's ridiculously tight in here. Almost a 45° angle. And, of course, being a sill it's swirl city so going at it by hand isn't a torture I wish upon myself 🤣 To get...

Cheers guys. I think I've made my mind up. I'm gonna grab the mini shine mate rotary and the extension kit for it. That takes me to nearly £200 anyway. The extension kit is amazing. Perfect for getting into tight areas and badges etc. that's the main reason I wanted one anyway as the tight...

Thanks Kev. Id love a rupes but I just cant justify the price. I only do 1-2 corrections a year at most so its just not needed. The shinemate is £200! The best 'bomb' ive used in the car was a Bilt Hamber one. Wasnt so focused on the scent, although it was a light citrus smell, but it was one that promised to remove nasties. Anti microbial or whatever its called. I liked that one but they're £12 each!

Just to jump in on this. I had the S22 and, youre absolutely right, the battery life was f**king abysmal. Waited for the S24 Ultra and, even though the phone is bigger, the battery is immense. I leave mine on battery saving mode so it only charges to 85%. Its also on the 'dynamic' mode so it...
