Nice photos!
One thing to comment on, in most of your photos you have the horizon central in the photo. Remember the rule of thirds, it's such a minor thing but it does make photos look so much better :)
You really wouldnt want a harness on a non-bucket seat, mainly because there are no 'holes' to keep the lap straps restrained. Without them they just sit on your lap doing fek all.
Don't bother mate unless you get some bucket seats too :)
As Jim says, mine can slot into each other. Only reason I did that is so I can take it apart. A 4m pole would be a bit tricky to put in the back of a clio :)
Jubilee clips are good, and very cheap too.
It can be locked yes, but that is nowhere near strong enough to hold the rig up, it might help with vibrations a bit though.
That cable is essential, there is a hell of a lot of strain on that cable! That's why I got 3mm steel cable which I think Im right in saying is rated up to 750kg! I think...
Have a look at this post on my blog, you can see a photo where it is clamping onto one of the rails under the car. It's the same the other side.
It can be tricky to find places to attach it, and the M3 I did a shoot on had nothing to attach to, so I was buggered lol...
^ Indeed I am. I bought the their pinch kit second hand.
The rest is a similar design but I did it all myself, it's A LOT cheaper!
There's some decent pics on my blog, should show you everything pretty well.
Here's an out-take of the rig on the evo:
EDIT: Christ my ass looks HUGE in that...
You might want to try multiple exposures. Try and get a shot that exposes correctly for everything, but if something is too bright (or too dark) take a photo and expose for that, Then combine in photoshop :)
Do you shoot in RAW? If you do you will have greater flexibility when changing the...
Thanks again :)
Couple more:
This is different to the other shot in the set, I prefer this one as the wheels are a bit lighter, and its a tad sharper too :)
lol, Thanks for the support :)
I MIGHT be doing a shoot of a Nissan GTR at some point so if that goes well (or happens at all!) then that will help my portfolio too!
Speak to you after to get back :)
To be honest....I havent got a single photo printed :(
I know it's shameful, but I've never had any reason to do it. Plus I think it goes back to what I said before about having a stronger portfolio before I do anything with it.
^Yeh Im very familiar with his work, I go on another forum and he's a regular too.
I think Im right in saying he does shoots for some supercar clubs in the UK!
I have thought about going round places asking for shoots, but I wanted to build up my 'portfolio' first, and get some better photos...
Couple more shots:
Not sure about this one, I saw the yellow doors as we drove pass and thought it would either work or not. I think it's ok, I was worried the car would not stand out enough from the background, but I think it's just about ok :)
Thanks again all :)
Planetx - Sure thing mate. It's a deal as long as you can get me some killer locations! ;)
Do you still have your V6? Maybe we can do a 'mess about' shoot. Nothing too serious, just play about and see what we can learn of each other?
Oh....and by then I might even have a...
Thanks again for the comments, much appreciated!
Well actually the owner had his camera there, and was taking photos of me, taking photos of his car lol!
So here's some out-take shots: (keep the abuse to a minimum please! ;))
And all this equipment transported in my van-spec clio!
Thanks for the comments :)
I know what you mean, I want to get a bit better at them, as they can look really good if you know what you're doing.
Indeedy :)
We were a bit restricted as to what angles we get the rig coming off the car, Ideally I would have liked a bit more head on shot, but...
Hey guys,
Did a shoot on a MINT evo 5 yesterday. The hardest part was finding good locations to do the shoot, hopefully I did ok with what I had :)

Mine is stripped and almost an everyday car, but I do travel 110 miles to Heathrow fairly regularly so I can comment on this!
Pros
Better fuel economy
Better acceleration
Cons
Noisy as f**k on motorways
Cant hear the CD player
You look like a pikey
All of the above points are what Ive...
The RS steering wheel is really good, however the blue bit at the top does fade :( It was the same colour as the belts, but now look at it!
Doesn't really bother me, but just thought I'd point that out :)
