D50, I read somewhere that the D40 is only compatible with AF-S lenses... the D50 takes AF and AF-S...

I'm sure either would be good, also look at the Canon S3 IS or Panasonic Lumix FZ5 if you can stretch a little more. Looking at the spec of the Fuji, the only annoying thing would be AA batteries...

Buy more RAM... always helps...

Right I've just been offered a copy of Vista for £16 after Christmas, I can't turn that down! Any ideas what the retail cost is going to be and I presume I'll lose all my software changing OS?! How system intensive will it be over XP?! Currently running 1.5 GB RAM, AMD 64 3200 and GeForce...

I was going to suggest the PANASONIC LUMIX DMC-FZ7 for around £200, but seeing as Argos are doing the fuji so much cheaper I'd go with that on a budget as you'll need to buy memory etc...

Stick it on a tripod and yeah you should be able to get shots like that with the Fuji :) I'd recomend also looking at a Panasonic Lumix, some can be had for £200 new, cost a bit more but you'll get a proper battery/charger as opposed to having to buy AA's..

Whats your idea of slow motion? You'll get motion blur with 0.5 seconds easily, heres a few samples with different shutter speeds to give you an idea: 1/160th second 1/2 second 5 seconds 15 seconds is more than enough for most unless you want to do 1596seconds :D :

Got myself a Logitech MX518, its fantastic, really got used to the forward back button it has, it gets on my tits using mice with out them or a scroller! Use it for games but its just as great for surfing and photo editing.

Rite, managed to upload all the pictures and a few more to my Pro Gallery if anyone wants prints done, they'll be up there as long as I have space, so a while! There printed/packaged and posted by Photobox.co.uk, saves me lots of hassle :D but is a bit expensive with postage if your just after 1...

Because they won't get it in as many living rooms at full price. Then they won't make money back in games and other parts etc... also keeps them competitive... Might have to fork out for a Wii after X-mass, looks like a right laugh and the FPS games look awesome..
