Unless you want something smaller?
Check this out, official Canon refurbs, theres a Canon S3 IS on there for 200 at the mo and loads of A series cameras.

I'd personally go for a Canon 1 series.
Anywhoo, what about the PANASONIC DMC-FZ7, little out of your budget though..

Thanks, got way to many options now!
But think its going to be either:
XFX 6800XTreme 256MB DDR3 DVIx2 XT AGP - £90
Leadtek WinFast 7600 GS 256MB DDR2 AGP - £87
Darn, can't afford a new Mobo as well lol! It's nearly half the price but am I going to regret buying the:
Leadtek WinFast 7600 GS 256MB DDR2 AGP
edit: just reading around and the GS is as good as the 6600GT, which sounds promising..also in the price range is the:
XFX 6800XTreme 256MB DDR3...
Leadtek GeForce 7600 GT 256MB GDDR3 HDTV/DVI (AGP)
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Nvidia_AGP_Graphics_Cards.html
Anything better for £108? Thats presuming I need an AGP card, not sure how to check..
Currently running a nvidia Geforce 5500 FX, which retails for around £30 now a days, looking at spending 60-100 so I presume I'll see an improvement. Have no idea about graphics cards!
Any recommendations, current card has a little sticker saying 'AGP CARD' on it, if that means anything...
How good a camera do you want, I'm sure it'll be fine to just take random snaps of people etc. and looks like its got a huge screen. With point and shoot cameras I'd just make sure you get one with its own battery (AA batteries are a pain). Then the biggest optical zoom, X3 should be ok...
http://photography-on-the.net/forum/ is a must to be on.
My galleries on http://pete-eos.deviantart.com/ its a bit arty farty but just surf around and see what can be done.
The best thing you can do is read the manual and get off the auto modes as soon as possible and learn M, Tv, Av and P...
Doesn't have to be the same brand but the same PC number so PC4300 for you.
I'm now running a 1Gig stick next to a 512 and now my house mate has 256 next to a 512.
thanks guys, plugged it in and is working fine, can now toggle between Counter strike, iTunes and fire fox with relative ease!
Also pimped out with some blue cathodes :Geek:
You'd get half a decent lens let alone a DSLR! :clown:
Unless you want to spend 4-5 times that I'd stick to a DSLR-a-like, something like the Canon S3 IS or a lumix Fz50 with 12x optical zoom.
So it seems you already have one!
