These (or similar) are what I've always used.

Shut all the air vents, put it on the transmission tunnel in the rear footwell, let it off, shut the doors and leave it for 24 hours.
Do a search mark, Ste Burns started a thread on it.
Before you go buying anything though, get some hot water and 3 or 4 microfibres, some strong interior cleaner in a trigger spray and clean the headlining. It holds all the stink so you need to get the worst of it out before you do anything else.
According to the trip I get 57.9 out of mine. Heavy traffic for 20 miles a day.
Tonight there was no traffic and it went up to 63.4!
Tuesday night I went to stoke, did 286 miles at 85mph and used less than £30 of fuel.
They really are stupidly good on fuel.
If the weather is as bad it's supposed to be, I'll be giving it a miss. Dragging a soaking wet 7 year old round will not be enjoyable!
Sam will be there though, 100%.
But your car lives in a heated garage....
If a solid piece of metal can deteriorate, so can a rubber belt, or a pulley, or a tensioner.
It's not worth the risk mate. £600 on belts or over £1200 to have the head rebuilt.
I'd advise you visit another garage. One that knows what they're talking about.
You're relying on a crusty 5 year old piece of rubber keeping the top and bottom of your gnome together....
We've had to machine polish 30+ cars at work after we switched to Autosmarts own mf's.
They certainly don't work great with brand new paintwork that's for sure!
They look at me like I've just sawn my own leg off in front of them when I tell them we don't have a games console in the house. Or TV's in the kids bedrooms.
That's another pet hate of mine...
My kids are allowed 30 minutes a week on my iPad/their DS's. If they use that allowance up by Monday night it's tough s**t. Those are the rules!
My son brings some of his mates home and they're mongoloids. Utter mongoloids. No clue whatsoever how to entertain themselves.
Give my boy a book...
Yeah none of our cars, Porsche mini or BMW, are allowed ANY marks on them when the go up for sale. Considering just at BMW, we sell 120 cars a month, we get a lot done by them!
It's cheaper for us to use them than it is for our own bodyshop to refurb them! Lol
What's the deal with track time? We're less than keen to go out with all the usual action day dickheads. But if CS has it's own slot we'll get booked up.
