They're superb. They do all of our wheels. From bog standard guff to diamond cut 20's.
Price includes tyre removal/refit and balancing and new valves too.
The man is amazing at his job. I wouldn't let anyone else paint my cars!!
Sadly though he's packed it all in and now works for us at BMW.
We use 'Phoenix alloys' at our place now though. Acid dip, shot blast, powder coat, paint and lacquer. Best in the business IMO!
Will there be room for a trailer? My mate (who I'm coming with) wants to bring his track car to show off but only if he can park his van/trailer somewhere near.
If the car is in a crash hard enough to crush the fuel rail guard, chances are the driver would be brown bread anyway.
They're designed to take big impacts and they're bolted to the engine.
The slam panel is as strong as a coke can mate it does sweet FA!
The only thing that matters in a front whack is the front crash bar. Which unless he likes bendy handling cars, will still be there.
Fuel rail guard is a fair point though. No idea why people remove them.
Guys help me out!
I've been asked by my boss to do a proper good spoof up of his best mates car. I've got it Saturday morning.
The thing is, I have to do it in work and because the valet bays are in the body shop, nothing can have silicon in it.
I've just about sorted all my kit but I want...
Pretty much mate yeah.
£30 and 2 hours on a Saturday will sort the door handles out permanently though and a 'snappy' wheel retrim is about £150 iirc.
Be as good as new then.
Yeah they're fucked. Renault made them out of biodegradable stuff it seems.
Send them to spray shack if you're not a DIY kind of bloke, cheap and effective way if freshening up the inside IMO.
Wet flat the whole wheel, Painting them gloss black, then wet flat the silver, then autosol the silver.
We did a trial wheel and it looks f**king awesome.
Wheels are off, in the middle of refurbing them, big BIG pile of parts to fit, get the bonnet and bumper painted then it's back on the road.
Then I'll sell it.
I'm really not a fan of new rear wings/door skins etc. 90 times out of 100 the fit is either poor or it will rust in no time.
You raise a valid point @gally regarding panel beating.
In my experience, a specialist charges circa £100 labour. The rest of the bill is made up of parts.
It's not worth doing it yourself.
They get £100 for doing 3-4 hours work, you get a car that's timed up properly.
Win win.
If you buy the tools, you'll need to do your belts twice as a minimum...
The thing is, that could be 'fixed' for under £500.
But that would involve a big hammer and s**t load of filler.
I wouldn't be happy with that on my car personally.
Mrs is dog rough! Hopefully coming home tomorrow though...
Tbh mate, I'm not really the one to ask with maintainence stuff. I never keep cars long enough to worry about that! Lol
I'd be very surprised if they repair that.
Labour is huge to remove and replace the rear quarter.
Then the colour will be an absolute pig so will have to have the whole side painted. Bound to total more than 50% of the cars value.
I'm sure @gally will offer you some professional advice.
