Literature that i have read regarding building race engines say that its not good to use heat resistant paint. Just brought it to the attention of the Op just incase he was not aware. However that is for track use, might be different for road cars etc.

Painting a engine in high temp paint is not good practice as it helps contain heat within the engine. Do most ppl on here use high temp paint?

Agree amazing pics esp the 3rd one down. Spa is one of my fav tracks, not sure if I like it more than the Ring as a track. Just the agro of TF closures are the main pain for me. Still want to do a closed event at the Ring.

Im looking at doing a engine swap in the next few weeks. My original engine has been mapped with 438 cams, the replacement engine will have oem cams. Will I be able to run the replacement engine on the original remap in order to drive it to a specialist to get it mapped? The ECU is a GEN90...

Ahh ok I see. I looked at those but dont meet FIA regs as they are 5mm thick, they need to be at least 6mm.

Fair one, I measured them up today and the poles are about 20/30mm wider, but they did fit with the SD cage. BTW What side mounts did you use for the buckets I now have, as my Recaro side mounts dont fit, Im looking at ordering the correct side mounts, cant be faffed messing about cutting up old...
