Well you have more experience than me Pete ;)
Regarding the spreader plates, yes there should be, as that's what I asked for when it was fitted, however have not looked. Anything else you see that might fail scrutineers please feel free to point it out.

Thats another job, will put spreader plates on the crutch straps when I get the gear shift moved (im having it moved about 2-3 inches down).
Thats rubbish that it has play in it. This item seems very robust and solid. It's from Demontweeks, cost about...

**Overdue update** April 2013
Since the weather has got a tad better I decided to crack on with some work on the car. The to do list is increasing dramatically.

Hmm maybe a tad tricky, all I did was remove the airbag ecu and side airbag wiring! I did accidentally cut a wire to the 12v socket but that was repaired.
So, I have checked all fuses and wiring and still the rev counter does not work. Is it a possibility that something could have blown inside the instrument cluster?
In the OP's sig it says he has a 172 cup racer, their engines sit lower right (as well as gearbox) so what drive shafts do they use? If they run 172 cup drive shafts then they would stick out more due to them being lower...right/wrong?
I'v been looking into the French trophy as well. I will def aim for 2014 as car is not 100% ready. Also I would like to get to grips with all the UK circuits that they race at.

Yea sure thing, i only mentioned it as a friend had his car fail his mot due to washer jet not working, so made me think thats all. Is it a new Mot requirement or has it always been that way?
