Re: Project 172k Trophy, & its endless track abuse
Strangely, its actually cheaper to buy it from JMS than Pure Motorsport:
I actually got a quote from Wests for the Cup setup (new) at about £350 all in! Ok so the Pure kit was a good £150 more than that, but well, i wasnt that bothered...
Says the dirty Northener :rasp:
Re: the ad, its clear that Demon Tweeks dont want to remove their listing, so they're just bunged the price up to a daft level to put people off bidding/buying. Isnt that obvious? No one would actually pay £260 for a Whiteline ... they even state that the price...
Re: Project 172k Trophy, & its endless track abuse
My light doesnt come on, but that might be because none of the centre dashboard lights work, i need to replace some bulbs me thinks ... :o
Re: the PMS kit instead of Cup setup - originally i didnt think the alternator was faulty as it was...
Nah, if you get the proper one, from Alpina527 (i think) on www.bmwowner.com you're fine. Its if you get a shoddy one off eBay that things go wrong ...
What you are also not mentioning, is that for circa £400 you can have 220bhp via a modifed 325i throttle body, inlet manifold & induction kit ... the 2.8 engine is strangled from the factory!!
Jack - as i'm sure you know, we have an N3 UCH, keys, decoding ring, etc etc etc in Guppys old bus.
Drop me a pm if you want them :)
Oh, & thanks for stripping most of the interior for me lol!!
Re: Project 172k Trophy, & its endless track abuse
£342 delivered from Demon Tweeks, quite a bargain i thought!!
Oh, you'll love getting back in it, and after all thework you've had done, you too will definately see an improvement in the power/delivery!! Like a new car, amazing...
Re: Project 172k Trophy, & its endless track abuse
Most definitely!! More like 25bhp though, it has been remapped as well remember ;)
when did you get home ya doughnut ? Late o'clock like me no doubt!!
Oh, massively chuffed!! Havet driven it in anger for over a month either, & being...
Re: Project 172k Trophy, & its endless track abuse
I though that on this note, i should make a rather large update :D
Firstly, thanks to James & Tom at JMS, despite having to be on the Eurotunnel at 6am this morning, James was bleeding my brakes at midnight last night - mostly thanks to...
Ummm, you can leave me out the arguement thanks lol.
I've had Bilstein on 2 x 106 gti's, a saxo vts & a 306 Rallye, hence why i like them. I've also tried Konigsport's on the clio's - id be more than happy with either.
As it happens, i run Sachs, because i'm a Trophy owner ;)
People...
I have various reasons, & dont really feel that i need to explain myself.
Essentially, having just spent in excess of £1500 on the Trophy's engine & ancilliaries in preventative maintenance, after discussion with others, it seemed a tad daft to enter into a situation where the mapper may (or...
As far as i am aware, this wont be happening now. The offer was to me & Duck, as sceptical old sods.
Duck owns a BMW, & i've gone with a different option for convenience.
Not sure why you'd ever want to be taken to Uxbridge to hang out lol ... unless you were wearing a stab vest?
JMS is on the bank of the river Thames, its sunny. Walk a mile east on the river and there is a lovely pub called the Thames Court. Go there, eat drink, watch the boats.
Sorted.
