It is in a way as I can be a sweet car. I don't want to spend the money to do that and and sell it at a loss. It's different for your car doe to the engine spec. Mine is cosmetic damage but even if I get just the front end done, it'll still be worth more in parts and I'd have to pay to have it...
It's not worth selling John as it wouldn't fetch for much money with the bodywork damage. No point paying to have it repaired as it won't gain me that much afterwards.
I do think breaking it and selling parts off is the best option.
Hit this, this week.
After having long think for a while I've decided to end the project. I want a more mature car and I don't want to plow anymore money into the ph1. The money that I was going to spend on it will be better off getting a better car so I'm going to break it. Its unfortunately...
TBH i dont the think the clio is bad on fuel but anything thats better than that is a plus. Really liking Volvo's atm.
Im pretty sure im getting rid of the clio after much pondering and i think a Volvo will be its replacement.
Any garage can do the fronts, it's just whether you want to take your car to the likes of formula one, etc.
They will be cheaper, open 7 days a week, etc but a specialist will know exactly what's needed/decent bearings etc. I'd imagine the specialist will charge more though.
In fact, materials supplier we have come to our work had some with the black heads so I ordered some through work. PM me your address and I'll send you out a set if you want?
Yes a standard rivet gun works but don't get them from Renault. I did as I wanted the black heads and they come in a pack of 10 for nearly £12 and had silver heads.
You'd be better off getting the rivets from eBay or similar.
Sorry bud, I didn't see this until now. Couldn't make it anyway buddy, we was out getting stuff for a wedding next weekend plus I need to save as much as I can for the stag too which is next weekend also.
Gaiters can be had for £10 new from Renault. And yes the ph1 airbox is a pita to remove without scratching it! Induction kit is better sounding and looks better, plus more space in the engine bay.
Megane is a nice step up if you decide to do so.
No I'm confused.
Date says 4th, no mention of a date change either. I'm guessing it was today as post were made in the week but the meet date is for tomorrow? :S
While the cambelt was being done, the gearbox was removed to be refurbed and had a new clutch fitted, so it made sense to remove a lot of parts and have them painted at the same time.
