This all sounds quite good to me. £1700 is cheap insurance for the 172 considering I paid £1500 for my TPFT insurance on my 1.4 for my first year of driving!

Ah I never said I was going to keep insurance on TPFT, just that that's what Im on at the moment. I think I'll be weighing up the situation in a couple months to get the best idea of costs, petrolwise Im obviously annoyed about the prices but nothing will happen about them so it's a loss of...

Haha Im not really a fan of the mk3, weighs alot and the performance is undercut by the mk2! I have no overheads either really apart from rent to the folks and going out on the weekend so it's not like I couldnt afford to run it... just need that job now :D
