There is nothing unknown, but there are alot of opnions.

Yes, cams are the final step yo should make if continuing to run the OE inlet manifold. Extensive flow development must be done on BOTH parts of the manifold to realise the potential of the engine. Itll get you close to 200, but cams are needed to push it over that.

Agreed, the V6 isnt a car to thrash the pants off.
But my reference was to people who expect the V6 to be more sporting simply because its RWD, rather than peoples familiarity with the driving wheels.
