ULTIMATE COILOVER SUSPENSION

bit gutted today........
some of you may know that im currently having a lengthy rebuild.
Managed to get the crank out, and that went off last weekend to be reground due to scaring from one of the shells going...
Just been told that the crank has "bowed" - which makes me think, holy crap...
Im after a machinist to lighten my flywheel...
Have spoken to Ben and Andy about it, but was wondering if anyone else does it.
Im based in kent, (South East) so as local as possible, but obviously i can send it to where ever it needs to go...
pm me, or contact me on 07719452454 thanks...
been a chor, wont deny that. Would certainly rather have not done it lol...
I just wanna get it right so when the next person gets it, its sorted...
Going to get it all sorted, run it in for 500 miles then just leave it to sell.
Be sound as a pound once finished, just a shame i wont be...
no the crank shaft david lol...........
and yes, you can do the clutch with the engine in the car... just had to work with getting the gearbox out enough to take it out...
Took us a while... but once you do the gearbox, the rest is pretty much simple.
Wouldnt like to do it again though...
i would give it to you ben to do it....
that reminds me, ill be up after all is finished to have my cams done AGAIN lol... if thats ok with you of course...
well, the bloke doing it knows what he is doing.. he is giving me a guiding hand... without his patients i would have given up along time ago... he dont give up... hardest things were a) the sump and b) the plastic pully cover thingy.... mad.. would have thought gearbox, and clutch would have...
aye........ i have to say ill walk away from this a lot more in touch with how it all works, where it all goes etc etc.
Looking forward to the work paying off, and actually driving it from that spot where it has been "dead" for 4 weeks, lol.
Well as some of you know, i have had so unfortunate luck over the last month or so... but after a LONGGGGGG day yesterday we did the following..
Removing the gearbox, removing the clutch, removing the flywheel and then FINALLY the crank and big ends. - undoing god knows how many bolts, lost...
would you bother though ben - little bit worried about my spec - will it cause problems... obviously as i havent really got a tuned motor....
losing torque etc, being the issue to..
yeh big time progress......
once i have got crank back with new shells etc, and then fit back the maze of nuts and bolts... (GULP!!) it will be running lovely...
just thought as the flywheel is out i might as well do it, and it apparently improved "reving" as you say.
After about 5 hours today, finally got the crank shaft out of the 2.0...
obviously, took clutch, gearbox, flywheel, etc off...
I have sent the crank to be reground, just wondering shall i bother lightening the flywheel, and will it make any difference - what sort of costs would i be looking...
really am tempted mate... the rebuild is just getting prolonged...
its happening 2 hours a day, and maybe not even at all... can see this going for a good month..................... and simply put, i really cannot be arsed with that.
I know of someone who will do it - bottom end that is -...
aye....
you know you come across these people that dont have much luck with cars....
yeh..... thats me lol.... who actually drives to drop off their car to its new owner (20 miles i add), and has an engine failure exactly half way there... swear i have done something to piss someone off lol.
fed up with seeing it on the drive in pieces....dont think it will ever look like this again.....................................
depressed....
