    Key fob repair

Common fault I think. I had to do this with 2 different clio's keys. You need to be fairly good with the solidering iron. If you can find a willing sparky, they may do it for some beer money.

    Trophy

Great picture, only slightly let down by the telegraph wires but I'm sure they'd edit out easily enough.

New car, cam-belt supposedly just changed.. how to check?

If they've used a proper kit then yes they should of fitted new cam seals. The should also of changed the aux belt, so this should also be new because if this fails it can take the cam belt out.

    How dare they :)

Direct quote from a work collegue who drives an Impreza, and saw my CS sticker, "oh, you're one of those". He gave me a disparaging look and walked off. True story.

Idiots guide to fitting skoda splitter?

Cut tabs off with wire cutters. Put car on axle stands as high as possible. Using a battery drill with a m8 bolt in the chuck, start at the middle and screw self drilling self tappers through both parts. Trim overhanging edges with junior hacksaw & clean with a file. Job done in 10 minutes.

    E85 3.0 Z4 Roadster Project

Great car Rob, look forward to any updates. I think this thread has piqued many peoples interest in the Z4, myself included. I was browsing them on Auto Trader at work, and I few of my work mates couldn't believe what you can get for little money, relatively speaking with the Zed's. Did you...

    The Retro Gaming Thread

I used to love playing wipeout with this: Nobody ever seems to know about the neGcon, but comtempary reviews all pretty much said it was by far the best controller for racing games. It twisted in the middle to provide analogue steering, with near 360 degree of movement but also was very quick...

What have you done to your car today ???

Spent 5 hours taking all the wheels off, cleaning polishing and sealing them, blacked the tyres, and cleaned the calipers. Took it for a 3 mile drive just after to dry the discs, and when I came back the wheels were covered in brake dust. Excellent.

Because it's a Fabia splitter, not a Cupra, as posted above?

Nokia Lumia 800 Windows Phone 7.5

Yes of course. It's not as basic as all that, and they're is a growing number of apps/games whatever. The devs are onboard it would seem.

Nokia Lumia 800 Windows Phone 7.5

All that extra stuff just doesn't do anything for me. How many people buy a iPhone 4/Galaxy S2 and then after a week or so never use all the extra stuff? The windows integration is something that appeals to me more than anything TBH. It's a new platform and will improve I'm sure, just as the...

Nokia Lumia 800 Windows Phone 7.5

Been looking at these for my next phone as I've always been a Nokia fanboi. I've had mobiles longer than some on here have been alive. Seems that if you want to mess about with a million apps for different things, then this isn't the platform for you. If however you want just...

    When filters aren't good

Ouch! The general rule is that filters help to protect the lens surely? If your filter hadn't of broken, it could have been the lens. Having a Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 myself, I know how expensive they are and a filter always lives on mine, for this reason. The B&W filter won't have been cheap...

Are you sure the player can play MP3's that arn't in the parent folder? Some can't so all the files have to be in 'just on the disc' IYSWIM.
