I enlarged the toe eye hole on the lower grill to make it fit and sit nicely. Only run it on the track though, looks a bit OTT on a fairly standard car stuck in traffic ha
Driven both cars recently and I have to admit, Harris is right, the Fiesta is better. The RS feels like it has more overall grip if I'm honest, it's much more planted. But the ST moves about in a similar way to my 182 at the rear, therefore I love it.
The seating position in the RS is a winner...
Cheers Tony, I'll have to have a look down there and see if I can clear it out this weekend. Fingers crossed this fixes it, pulling a car cover over it every time it rains is getting a bit annoying
Old thread but I have exactly this problem, the scuttle panel under the wiper cover is filling up with water. How can you clear it? It's such a small space to reach down!
I did hear back from Dean, he sent me across digital copies, but only the 3 they used in the magazine unfortunately.
If you drop him an email I'm sure he'll be happy to send across the pics of yours. They're blood high res!
Cheers Fred! Yeah I thought that about the printout, expected the one with the green and red bits. This was a new garage I gave a try, first time I've left an alignment place and the steering wheel actually be straight tbh
Today I went to get a 4 wheel alignment done on the 182 as it'd been 2 track days and 10,000 miles since the last one.
All seems well with the results according to the garage, but I can't help but feeling the camber is a bit far off? I'm assuming this is something the garage can't adjust, is...
Enjoyed a track day at Rockingham the other day with the Guild of Motoring Writers. Was a great day out where I was able to not only thrash my Clio around the circuit, but also sample several manufacturer's cars including the 2013 Fiesta ST, the Kia ProCeed GT and even THE Reasonably Priced Kia...
Finally got myself a copy :D
And yeah Nick mate I actually did contact Dean (the photographer) via email at the end of last week regarding possible digital copies. He hasn't come back to me yet, but when I asked him on the day he said it shouldn't be a problem once the mag has been published. I...
Yeah was definitely a great day, made me very jealous of those guys and their jobs!
Fred they loved the exhaust even before you made it fit perfect, so can only imagine they'd love it more now that the rasp is maximised. I did mention BTM to them so hoped they mentioned you?
Still abroad so...
Cheers, it's on the Eibach Prolines with standard cup shocks etc. Told the Evo guys as they were looking for a standard car, but since the difference is minimal they weren't bothered.
Looks like they didn't use any of the sliding shots they were taking in the day!
Yey that's my car! I haven't even read the article yet as in abroad ha.
The Evo guys did seem impressed by my car on the day though. Funny since they were driving Ferrari F40s and McLaren F1s the week before!
Really annoying PicturePush now charges for accounts, so most of my pics from this thread are gone :S
Anyway been a while since I updated the thread, I test fitted my tow strap ahead of a Rockingham track day end of the month, not sure if it's purposeful or tacky?
Either way, it's probably...
I feel like I'm going to do them for the same reason, I just have this image in my head of stretching rear lines at the moment every time I squeeze the pedal ha
I've been running front braided lines for almost a year now, along with a fluid change the brakes were massively improved in feel. I occasionally do track days and drive the car pretty hard, particularly on the brakes - I use DS3000 track pads and high performance Dot 4 fluid when on track and...
Used to drive regularly from London to Leeds when I was at Uni with the cat back Yozza. With the cruise on at 70mph my exhaust was very quiet. 60mph it was quite loud, 80mph it hummed, but 70 was near silent.
Spotted a couple of days ago, an RB 182, White Turinis (non Cup ones), and white roll cage from what I could see.
I had been the only RB in the area so this stood out to me!
Anyone on here?
*lol on the blanking out of the area name
Thanks :) the SLK was something I was just reading up on. I think I will have to throw in a couple of wildcards with some more extreme options, looks like the luxury sports cars are limited to a short few!
Cheers I'll get onto him - I certainly agree about it being who you know even from my short experience!
I would be happy to write something for CS, anything related to my car and I'm all over it! I'll have a look over the article section, I hadn't even thought about it to be honest
Any other...
Yeah I'm finding it tough to draw the line on how extreme we can go, but I was working with something that matches the M3 for performance, and is still usable daily. Something that is fairly luxury would be perfect, so the suggested Audis and 370Z are good options! The Lotus is very desirable so...
New, although I was thinking about throwing in a wildcard and suggesting a 3-5 year old example.
That's actually something I plan to do in the coming days (waiting for a pay cheque!). I've been in contact with 'the main man' Andrew Noakes and met him on a Cov Uni open day, and I've written a...
I'm currently working on my writing skills to build up my portfolio to hopefully one day work as an Automotive Journalist.
One of the websites I'm currently writing for, has requested that I write a piece that lists the Top 10 Sports cars available for less than an M3 in the UK. An M3 is...
Cheers for pointing that out Joey! I'll see if I can get that fixed (sure that wasn't there when I sent it to Keith!)
And yeah the Club100 feel like a nippy rental kart, in my old TKM days the karts were far more nimble. But it's the value for money I think that keeps people happy. I'd love...
Yeah I suppose there could be a few 'numpties' out on track! My objective is to be invited into the premier class as being invite only I think the driving standard is very good.
I would love to be cocky and say I'm gonna be quick, but I have a feeling i'll be just a but rusty on the old race...
Cheers!
And yeah the Club100s aren't the best pieces of machinery, but the thing that sells it for me is the driving standard. If you win a Club100 race I feel like it's a proper achievement with all the ex British Championship drivers and single seater racers.
But yeah, agreed, the karts are...
Yeah I see what you mean, I think at the start the 'setting of the scene' was quite tough, I tried to bring the reader into my experience. So yeah I guess the actual reviewing of the car is the stronger part.
Thinking of writing about budget Motorsport next as that's something I'm passionate...
