Looks lovely. Although agreed with cleaning comments...I can't wait to refurb mine silver! But in all seriousness they're not that hard to keep clean, I'm just lazy!
I've only heard a decatted one from outside the car but it was a bit raspier and obviously quite a bit louder, but I think the general sound is still the same. You can definitely tell it's a Yozza!
Doesn't drone at 70 on cruise control. In fact it's silent. But everywhere else on the rev band it's pretty loud!
Although with the windows up and keeping the revs relatively low it won't give you a headache, you just know it's there!
My Yozza cat back at 70 is silent. Used to drive from Leeds to London with it and it was fine, I hate drone but it was silent. At 60 it droned a bit mind.
The noise when flat out is so awesome though it wins hands down for me
Driven it, parked it and then got pissed off with the fact all 10 miles I have done today have resulted in my spotless white wheels having dirty water splashes all over them
F1 cars don't have ABS. Or have I misread this?! EDIT: assume you're talking about in the early 90s
ABS on brand new cars is probably brilliant but on the 182 I've found it to cut in a tiny bit early, same with the TC. Shouldn't be an issue on the 172 in 99% of braking situations unless you...
I got my RB last year for £3.5k with belts done and it's immaculate and was totally original. And from a dealer too. Only downside was it had done 80k miles (which didn't bother me) and the original exhaust was blowing but I wanted to change that anyway. Just gotta find them!
Such nice cars and such an awesome looking piece of tarmac. I never fully took advantage of spending 3 years of Uni in Leeds. This is definitely a road I plan to visit next time I'm up in Yorkshire. Living in London's so crap when you want to go for a drive
Bored at Uni during exam revision end of May I decided to take the 182 out for a spin, thought I'd record a video to show how the cat back JP/Yozza is sounding!

Awesome video, found myself thinking I'd watch 30 seconds and watched the whole thing. Looks like a lot of fun, less swearing and changing masses of set up compared with my old karting days! Looks like something I'd love to do in the future.
Went to the Mini Festival today to support a friend racing in the Mini Challenge in the Club class. Weather was really nice and seeing so many classic and brand new Minis was pretty cool. The JCW race cars looked awesome and the classic Cooper S' were amazingly quick for 1275cc engines!
I took...
That's funny, those Astras drove past me at speed on the M1 yesterday. I was heading from London to Leeds so must have been around Nottingham when they passed, they were flying along together. Could obviously be other Astras but the cars were identical to these and driving in a similar way!
I...
Congrats on the result! Hope you get the car sorted easily before the next round!
Does the 30second penalty mean you have 30 seconds added to your race time?
Amazing. Videos like this make me want to pursue a career with money and long hours, but that will enable me to enter the Historic race with something in the future!
My old karting mate Ben Barker won the historic F3 class that day. Jealous to say the least!
Had mine a year, still love it. I only get bored of it when I don't drive it; as soon as I jump back in it I like it again. Track days make me love it!
If you mean in terms of having a few extra comforts such as climate control, half pleather interior and the brighter xenon bulbs then I'd say it's worth going for the full fat
You can get legal pressed plates. I had them on my old Punto, they even had the postcode marking and were reflective. I think clean plastic plates suit the Clio more though tbh
Is that PFI I see in your 1st kart pic! I used to race TKMs in Super 1, budget became ridiculous so had to stop. So similar story! But did some races in Club100 karts in the BUKC this year.
Car looks nice, Clios seem to be the car of choice for a lot of karters I've noticed!
Nice wheelie in...
Just seen this thread, I'm planning on going on bank hol Monday 4th June. Will be my 1st time there, is it a case of arriving with your car and signing on or do you have to book in advance etc?
Wow would the plugs make that much difference? I need to change mine then as I've been running Boschs and assumed it wouldn't make that much difference!
My JP/Yozza with a cat isn't loud when hot. When cold yes it's pretty loud! But when it's hot it's silent on tick over from in the car, and only really loud when giving it the beans.
EDIT: should have read the full page I see you've bought a Ultra performance. I nearly got one of them. They...
