My 182's rear right brake doesn't seem to be working properly. My brake pedal feels a little spongey so we changed the fluid but this didn't fix it. The car was due a rear pad and disc change so we changed these and both rear calipers, rear lines (direct into caliper part) and also fitted...
Yeah that's the section, I'll have a check but think mine looked in reasonably good condition so hoping a change with the braided section should fix the issue. My ABS has also now failed, a quick check on the diagnostics suggests one of the rear sensors is fubared, I hope just cleaning it up...
We've slimmed it down to the rear hose. I've got a pair of braided rear lines to go on so will try them, but before we do I wanted to confirm that the hose that connects directly to the caliper couldn't also be a culprit for stretching? I can't find the part online so it doesn't even look like...
I've just had new discs, pads, calipers fitted to the rear of my 182 and new brake fluid, all genuine OEM parts.
After giving them a day's worth of bedding in - normal driving and then an afternoon of some more spirited stuff - they feel as though they stop better but the pedal still feels a...
Just in the process of fixing my rain/light sensor on the windscreen.
I've pulled the wires out to check connections but have managed to jumble them up.
Which order do they sit in the sensor? There's a pink, black and yellow wire.
Just to confirm, these are the wires that poke out of the...
Thanks, yeah the interior is far from badly designed, but aside from a heater and a radio there's literally nothing else. Nothing wrong with that to be honest, and in the long run it'd prove more reliable no doubt. It can just seem a little shocking when the latest range of C1s/Aygos come with...
So some of you may know I'm an aspiring motoring writer, and I've not delved into the world of press cars. We all have to start somewhere, and in my case it was with the UK's cheapest new car, the Dacia Sandero. Based on the Mk2 Clio platform, I thought you guys/girls might be interested in...
Thanks Cub! That's the intention with the Readers' Rides pieces no doubt.
And fair enough JD, to be honest CT's target audience is probably younger than most people would expect - they're massive on a global scale so it's more a case of deliberate marketing and tailoring of the content. The...
Yeah, you got me. I've been working with the CT guys a bit and they thought my 182 would be perfect for a vid.
I tried to keep it honest, I didn't want to come across all rose-tinted and say the car isn't without its faults. Plus this wasn't scripted, it's all on the spot answers, at 7am, in...
Haha thanks guys, my head lecturer worked for Fast Car in his twenties so I think he's pulled a few handbrake turns in his time!
Not sure if you guys follow Car Throttle but coincidentally they produced a 'hot hatch' video with a similar theme, so I'm happy to see my ideas are at least similar...
So for my next uni portfolio I wanted to include a fun video. This 'How to become a boy racer' video was created with massive inspiration from CarThrottle (the portfolio requires me to target each piece to a publication/website etc).
We filmed it all in about 1.5 hours so it's missing quite a...
So I'm doing a bit of work at CarThrottle over Xmas, and of course I've somehow also donated my car to be featured in the upcoming '10 things you didn't know about the Clio 182' video.
I've been given the task to think of 10 things that non 182/172 owners wouldn't know about the car, so...
Thanks guys. Yeah next vid will certainly have much more preparation and therefore hopefully no "erms!" To film this we just went out with no solid plan and the finished product kind of reflects that.
Next I hope to get my hands on a press car. Still new to the game so a Kia or Hyundai looks...
Ha thanks guys. Yeah massive influence from Chris Harris and similar car youtube channels to be honest. I figured it'd be best to get doing something conventional to learn the ropes before developing my own techniques.
The biggest let down for me is definitely the 'umms' and occasional...
This video is really just me having a bit of fun, whilst also practising the art of online video. I decided to review my own car first before I step into the world of press cars.
Please excuse my constant fumbling and 90s style video humour, the video was made on a serious budget with serious...
FML I have a very similar leak, under the driver's seat is saturated. I'd cleaned all the crap out from the scuttle, but obviously it's not the same issue. Although if it was coming from the scuttle I'd assume the floor under the driver's feet would be wet..but it's dry. Only directly under the...
Cheers for the feedback guys. It's far from perfect as an article but was my first (fairly quick) attempt at a proper review. More are on their way soon!
And the car is great, but it's got nothing on the ST. Would love a go in a Montune one!
I'm currently an aspiring automotive writer doing some freelance stuff and studying for an MA. But since I am hoping to enter the industry as a road tester, I figured I should start getting behind the wheel of some new cars.
Of course, one of the most obvious places to start is in an area I...
Saw a lovely Racing Blue 182 lowered on white wheels parked under the ring road bridge, next to Coventry University this morning.
I live literally a 5 walk from there with my RB (which looks slightly less immaculate)
Anyone on here?
