There the best realy Renault invested a ton in desing Ok they weak and wear but realy thats better than being to stiff and the wear moving onto bigger more expensive bit
Not a huge change but since there illegal whats the point even thingking about it last time I checked there no off road rally cars on here plus if you do break the law and use them ok you won't have them on when someoen comming towards you but when you come round a bend they might be just there...
Err fog lights should only be used in fog and when needed for driving safety andvisability I've used mine very little there little use even in fog IMO.
Check the wiring though on the passenger side under the arch liner the clips cna be trouble but I'm not sure what you mean realy do the fogs...
I'd check the shocks them the bushes at the rear exhaust etc could rattle buit also check the wheel nuts also check for stupid as it sounds somthing loose in the car.
Its very accurate realy if you give it time to settle. I tested it and over read by 0.5% over 10k. However the inacuracies i put in it were probably more than 0.5 % so it could have been spot on.
There rubsih stock might not be the stiffest things ever but uprated just cause trouble. Renault suprisingly invested a lot in a good setup.
No one ever listens when i say it though
I don't like the Mintex extrem pads and I don't think most of the fancy disk are much use there IMO often poorly made and no point stock etc are better there looks only.
Gates etc do the cambelt but IMO I'd just use the proper Renault ones prices arn't that much more and least you know your not missing bits some places just sell the belts for £12 you pay 5.1 hour labour at a garage and then the tensioners etc fail as they do and your looking at £1k minimim to fix.
Green stuff are a green backing plate and pad so they are more noticable but with some wear and dirt it is sort of covered ironicall the ds2500 etc look like stock pads.
I also don't belive it will get that cold either but hey it has to be said.
I forgot to say car batterys will take a bit of load and can fail to supply all the power you need so if your think yours is low on power get it checked/changed it might not be cheape etc but its better than a...
Oops yep sorry minds elsewhere I think its £140 from memory if I'm allowed another guess.
I'd personaly get them done ASAP its over 5 years old and over 60k so over due one on milage wise and due one on milage wise.
Depends what pads your using if your using what are known as OE ie original equipment or similar to stanard stuff thn its fine.
As for uprated ie ds2500 well you have to remember there not road legal anway as there not approved so yep you should tell them but it opens the can of worms of...
Firstly welcome and hope you enjoy your stay
Its just for Clio owners to come and chat about Clios/mods/running/moans/praises whatever they want although there quite a lot of other car owners on here who have stuck around.
Nothing to watch out for the mods are there if you have any trouble...
I'd get it checked yep whats the harm its probably going to be fine but if it gets very cold and your cars out in the very cold and it freezes you'll regred not having it checked it not much to have ti chnaged anyway. Get a garage you trust to check it Renault often do it when you take a car in...
Just because you think you can doesn't mean you can even F1 drivers have people to help them get the most.
As for what I'm saying well, as I quoted from your first post you asked if the Koni kit was any good on Clio's and hence I stated "I don't think there great but then again I don't rate...
Being as its supposed to if you belive the news getting down to -17 c its worth checking the coolent in your car is good and new most garages will check it for free. It should be chnaged every 5 years and if you have a Clio used the Renault type D stuff its only cheap £25 for 5 liters is fine...
Don't worry realy head gasgets on them are quite good give the car a good long run get it warm it will most likly be fine just short runs are causing it or a oil breatyher getting blocked
Depends how mecahnical you are both are easy enough though. TDC is dead easy only 2 bolts.
But you need to find out the exact issue could be a dirty/blocked/faulty throttle body there not cheap but can often just be cleaned up.
5.1 hours labout officially.
You need all the toels if you want to DIY it plus I'd never recomend it unless you know what your doing.
When the belt is chnagedthe tensioners are chnage the aux belt should be chnaged and the aux belt tensioenr chnaged (some places don't chnage the aux belt...
