I agree, but if he does have the potential to save up a bit more and spend it all, then he could get a car thats younger and potentially going to last longer...
Yes, but now someine else is going to be put into the same position and he has got away with something that is very illegal. He will do it again, he is probably thinking to himself 'what a lucky escape'...
On anohter notem does this mean your going to get rid of your escort and return to a clio?
What was the lesson here? I dont think you did anything wrong on your part at all, in fact the garage should be reported for trying to sell a car under false pretences! You really should name and shame because what they did was way beyond this side of the law and wrong!
and IMO its a good price provided everything else looks ok. HG would cost no more than £100 to repair at a small garage (the D7F is the simplest of engines to work on).
Also 5K for a 182 is way over the top IMO, just becasue its got a low millage means s**t tbh!! Have you considered going abit higher and getting a 197 or 200 as thats more around that price range?
there is a whole thread on this here >> http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?276833-172-182-buyers-guide. right at the top of this forum section!!
If you want it gone fast, pop it on ebay with that discription + some pics with a really low starting price; it will soon be sold! Also I would mention about the Dynamatted, its a real improvement to the car that stops rattles and takes quite a bit of time to do. Maybe describe it in a way of...
lmao at the number completely useless posts in this thread. He wants info concerning with the seats in the up possition!! lol. best thing to do would be to try it as TV's are all differnt shapes and sizes anyway (regardless of there size).
I didnt put mine on there sides, I acutally standed them up like the would be normally in the boot, one closely behind the other (at a slight diagonal to the boot). There is no room for anything else though like the ps3's (ditch those :p), xbox and clothes....
yes they will fit without seats down. You will have to remove the shelf, stand the up in the boot and then pack them tight with a sheet of somekind (i used a large curtain).
Im not sure where you got your sale figures from, but Arctic Blue is the second most popular colour in the 182 series (see image below)! Did you mean across the whole range of Renaults?
that dosnt actually look that bad IMO, its just cosmetic. A good bodyshop could have that looking nice again for under £300. What I want to know is, who the heck would drive into a wall and KEEP GOING long enougth to cause that amount of damage!!! crazy! The millage is high but modern engines...
newer clios seem to big to me. IMO the new twingo is about the size I would expect a clio to be and the new clios are not far from the old megane size.
I was also considering a golf as an upgrade from my 1.2 Mk1 clio, but then realised that the only reason I was considering it was because of built quality. I ended up getting a 182 and feel i have made the right choice as its just way more fun to drive. I find there is something about a clio...
Just noticed my alloys have a few kerb marks on them, nothing to bad though (nothing deep). Does anyone know what type of paint and what color paint I need to buy to touch then up myself?
that sounds pretty horrific if it is all from the lambda! I would have thought it the sensor went you wound have more time than you state before the amount of petrol in the oil would be any sort of a problem, and even then I wouldnt have thought it would cause bottom end damage. Over fueling...
