when you say the pump is on the way out, does that mean the noise is coming from inside the pump or is it still from the belt slipping? Basically i dont want the AUX belt to snap/come off and the result in the cam belt snapping etc... I have to drive another 500 or so before I can get to a place...
First off, A very Merry Christmas to all! Wish you all the best for 2012!
I have a problem with my 182 when I put the steering of full lock or when there is pressure on the steering; when on full lock a cheeping sound comes front he engine (from the aux belt im guessing), is the normal? doe it...
No its not a knocking and its not repetative. Its more like something is momenterally dragging on the front end. I checked they undertray but that wasnt anywhere near the ground.
Problem 1 is obviously just a feature of the car :)
No not all the time when changing gear, only from a full stop and i insert into 1st (and its not even every time). mounts are cheap so it will be good news if it is the dog bone :)
Anyone experienced problem 2?
I know what you mean. Those lucky people in St Albans have a shell just before the M25 which is always cheaper than any other garage i have seen... My closest is 16 miles away!!
I found tescos fuel has made the MPG in my 182 and 1.2 TCE drop by almost 5mpg! I normally use saisnburys or shell (and wont be using tescos again if i can help it)!
Bizzare! If I click that link I can access the area fine, and if i click the thread from the area I can also see it fine, just not when I click the link above! Must be a coding glitch! thanks jenic!
Im not sure if these are just features of the car or are problems that will increase with time:
1. Often when i put the car into gear 1, there is a lumpy bump from the gearbox like the clutch isnt fully depressed (it makes a dull 'clonk' noise and feels like the gearbox moves), is this normal...
