No I dont think the wheela are spinning up, and thats not when it torque steers anyway (the knocking happens all the way through the rev range of gear 1). Also if the wheels are spinning up the ESP light would flash.

I have noticed my 182 can give a bunch of torque steer when pulling away sometimes; anyone else get this or just me? Im still learnign the car, is there a technique to get around it (excluding "dont boot it")? Also how do these 250bhp+ FWD cars not suffer from extream amounts of torque steer?

Thats surprising, I thought a test by evo (or the likes of) showed that the stock induction was the best without a remap?!

I also find the 182 clutch has such a long movment on it as well compaired with my other clios...

that looks really nice; the colours in the star trails and in the paintwork of the car is amazing! Love the way the car seems to have an inner glow.

My 182 doesnt do this when cold and its not remapped... I didnt htink it was an issue on 1*2's (only lumpy idle when a certain sensor needs cleaning).

+1, unless your going to use it for the track all the time or only as a sunday car, the 182Cup is not worth it compared to the FF IMO. The FF has all the extra's + the cup bits that matter (mainly being the sus pack).

what if you took the car apart, packaged it up in small "gift" marked boxes and the reasembled the other end?! Surely not Tax to incure :p

Sound to me that you should be ok as you havent got any disputes etc. it may have been a problem if it was the other way around, but as your claiming off his insurrance it dosnt really matter. Glad to hear your OK and not seriously hurt. good thing the clio has a 4* safty rating!
