I would say to the owner "Hi, Im ****, nice to meet you. I noticed you have a clio sitting around that you dont use much, im actually looking to get one very soon, how much would you want for me to take it off your hands? Its not my first pick in colour but if you want a resonable price for it...
No I dont think the wheela are spinning up, and thats not when it torque steers anyway (the knocking happens all the way through the rev range of gear 1). Also if the wheels are spinning up the ESP light would flash.
hmm. Mine is when im in 1st or 2nd and it occures when the 4K kick happens. I hope its not an underlying issue! I also have noticed that when pulling away hard in 1st gear there is a loud knocking noise, but I assumed this is becasue of the suspension strut thingy that all 1*2 have unless they...
I have noticed my 182 can give a bunch of torque steer when pulling away sometimes; anyone else get this or just me? Im still learnign the car, is there a technique to get around it (excluding "dont boot it")? Also how do these 250bhp+ FWD cars not suffer from extream amounts of torque steer?
lol the argument between Scrooge and Bazz reflects exactly the angle I was originally talking about that a garage might take. lol.
Glad the garage is looking to sort it for you. I wouldnt worry about the garage to much, they know when looking at these warrenty type things that they might not...
Re: If i was to sell my non sport
Execpt for those sports seats, they look 10x better than the originals and IMO would add value to the car for anyone buying it...
+1, unless your going to use it for the track all the time or only as a sunday car, the 182Cup is not worth it compared to the FF IMO. The FF has all the extra's + the cup bits that matter (mainly being the sus pack).
I think im am looking at it from a different angle; im relating it to the mass of people who had trouble getting there gearbox replaced in the 197 by Renault themselves. I thought I read somewhere that a lot of people said they got told it was becasue of there driving style and didnt get the box...
No I dont htink so, I was just refering to the broken gearbox. What I was meaning was that they may pin it on poor driving and not a direct fault of the car (ie. he didnt use the clutch to change gear); this would not come under the 28 return thingy (and im not sure its even usable on second...
umm its 2 threads because one is a question about the gearbox itself (and thus in the correct location) and one is a question about trader obligations. The fact that they are linked by the gearbox dosnt really impact on this thread imo.
Im not sure the trader will have any obligations to...
1 or 2 sounds good to me. The fact that 2 would be smelly is the owners problem (i find it funny how you say you wouldnt want this as it would be smelly yet dont care about cat s**tting in other people gardens and creating bad smells for them). I know a few people who have indoor only cats and I...
Here is another good video showing various tests that may help indicate a worn dephaser:

I have noticed the clutch on the 182 is very long; that is you have to push it right he way in before its safe to change gear without it crunching and the movement is quite long. I was wondering if there is a modification avalible that maybe changes the fork to reduce the movement of the...
I hardly think naming + shaming someone on here can be compared with being shot in the head. What you have basically said is "I dont give a f**k about the next person solongs im ok". Im glad you got your many back and it all ended smoothly for you, but it just seems a bit selfish to me. Its not...
Sound to me that you should be ok as you havent got any disputes etc. it may have been a problem if it was the other way around, but as your claiming off his insurrance it dosnt really matter.
Glad to hear your OK and not seriously hurt. good thing the clio has a 4* safty rating!
