2 potential problems with my 182..?

Im not sure if these are just features of the car or are problems that will increase with time:

1. Often when i put the car into gear 1, there is a lumpy bump from the gearbox like the clutch isnt fully depressed (it makes a dull 'clonk' noise and feels like the gearbox moves), is this normal?!

2. Sometimes when reversing, it momenterally feels like one of the front wheels is locked and is dragging along the floor (this happens for about the first second of movement), there is also a sound with this to match.

Anyone got any info on these potential faults?!

Well i know what you mean about the 1st gear "clunk" as i'd describe it, im fairly sure its a common problem, Ive changed my lower dog bone mount which is what most reccomend to do, but the new OEM dog bone mount has been revised and is tighter, and i still have 1st gear clunk, im switching to powerflex dog bone bushes soon so im hoping this might solve some of the clunk.

If it is the dog bone causing it, wouldnt it do it all the time? :S

What all the time when your changing gear?, I'm no expert but i guess its just the initial into first gear causing the gearbox to move causing the noise, my new dog bone solved the problem for a while, the newer revised mount is tight as f**k and i havent adjusted my other mounts to suit it, instead im going to wack a powerflex bush kit on the dogbone and hope its better.

No not all the time when changing gear, only from a full stop and i insert into 1st (and its not even every time). mounts are cheap so it will be good news if it is the dog bone

Anyone experienced problem 2?

im going to guess that with 94 views and not many replys that this isnt a comman thing that happens?!

I get the same thing going into 1st sometimes. Its not mounts, its something mechanical related. Learn to live with it lol

With the second problem is it like a knocking sound? Check your CV boots to see if they've shat their grease (or the clip has come off and it's soon to lose the grease).

I get the clunk sometimes too. Only when putting it into 1st gear from stationary and usually only when the car is really hot, after driving in town for some time.

No its not a knocking and its not repetative. Its more like something is momenterally dragging on the front end. I checked they undertray but that wasnt anywhere near the ground.

Problem 1 is obviously just a feature of the car
