Due to paisley freight being useless & failing to collect some wheels for me from holme, lincolnshire ...
Is there a local member that could perhaps pick them up for me, Who perhaps works in an office 9-6 so booking another collection is a wee bit easier.
Matey who ive bought them from works...
Looking like an Orbisound is one thing, performing like one is another though surely?
Was one for sale on cliotrophy anyway, why not just buy the real thing ;)
Re: Project 172k Trophy, & its endless track abuse
lol, you should have seen the pink Monza's i got outbid on. They were the thing of hatred.
Would have clashed beautifully with the T as well :(
Re: Project 172k Trophy, & its endless track abuse
Another update, purely from a cost reduction perspective :dapprove:
Shouldnt have sold my last set really lol:
Have also sold my stereo & handsfree kit. Trophy is going to be bare.
2118's will be sale after xmas, so pm me if...
:D
Nice to see another Trophy on here, as said, if you want some ideas's to make it a little more track friendly see my thread ... i wouldnt worry so much about power though tbh, better brakes/suspension/tyres will allow you to keep up with much faster machinery anyway!
Again, thats for all the (mostly) positive comments lol.
To those that were interested, driving wise, its lovely, yeah, its a big old ship, & clearly everything is a little tired considering the mileage, but its still far more precise than an Audi could ever be!! Nearly steered off the side...
Re: Project 172k Trophy, & its endless track abuse
James put these up for sale:
I buckled.
Anyone want some Imola's? Look lovely now i've given them a clean :approve:
FLOL. You're probably right if im honest :o
Still, beggars cant be choosers, & i am getting on a bit these days ...
Re: the M3, i nearly did, but this way i get to keep the Trophy as well ;)
And a decent M3 would have cost me about 7 grand more
Perfect for a track car imho, as long as it goes for under £1k, you could flog the expensive stuff, ie interior, wheels, etc & essentially have a free, throwaway weekend toy.
Thats so poor it hurts me.
1. No sideskirts
2. Bonded in windows
3. Black rear lights
4. White front indicators
5. Poor wheels
6. r****d owner.
His profile on his other car says it all really:
'if ure lookin for a drift machine these r the motors for u better than all that jap crap...
Should have bought one years ago.
For the boring stuff its comfy, well built, spacious & cruises effortlessly. But when you put your foot down, it pulls like a train, sounds fantastic & handles like no big car should. Sarah hates the interior, but i love it! Myrtle wood & sand leather ftw...
Im confused as to what that video is supposed to prove?
An M3 & a CSL following a VX220 around a track, following by an M3 overtaking a CSL, that probably couldnt be bothered to have an amateur driver sat on his ar5e trying to outbrake him/be a hero down the main straight at Snetterton ...
