Dog bone is located under the car. It joins the lower part of the gearbox to front bulkhead. The bushes wear and allow too much movement at the bottom of the engine/transmission. The symptoms are usually a knocking or clunk on pull away. Its the exhaust manifold hitting the bulkhead as the...

Was under the car tonight fettling the exhaust and noticed the underside of the gearbox and selector shaft was a bit wet with what I assume is gearbox oil. Anyone had similar symptoms and an idea of where it may coming from??

That's pretty random. If it's a lorry probably didn't even realise it, you'd like to think anyway. If not then some people are just thoughtless c**nts. As an aside what do you do to fix the headlight condensation? My drivers side one keeps doing it which is annoying :angry:

Did that once. Insurance too...

Cleaned it. My it's hot outside today:-)..

Replaced the old mangled splitter with a nice new one. Resprayed the front diamond and rear bumper insert.

French electrics... You can bet when you need the rear wiper it'll stop working!

Hope its a quick fix (and cheap;-))

Yeah I know. They're great little cars which is why you both got one again;-)

I used eibach 25mm hubcenric for the fronts and universal 10mm rears with longer bolts. My rear clearance was tight as the previous owner lowered the car ;-)

Exciting stuff. 2 new front tyres, balance and alignment. Good opportunity to have a look under the old girl. Need a new middle exhaust mount, wishbone bushings and cheekily repaired some loose heat shield ;-)

fitted the passenger track rod end. Absolute 'mare of a job. Locking nut seized solid but still managed it. Get tracking done this week now.

looks like a boost gauge on the steering column cowl.

Fitted exhaust mount polybush. Not a fun job or a quick job, snug is an understatement. Fitted new carbon bumper cut out trim. Managed to fit drivers side track rod end, just the passenger side to do.

Gonna arrange it for after FCS mate. Do people wanna do a weekend or week night? If anyone wants to throw a date out there then feel free. @Az12430 doesn't have his clio on the road yet I do believe?

if you get sweaty palms I wouldn't go leather or suede you'll be forever cleaning it.

I wanted suede or alcantara as well but as a daily it wasntvery pratical. 300mm is awesome, cant recommend it enough.

the pretensioners fire and stop you tbf. First 172 I wrote off smashing into a,concrete pillar, airbag went off but didn't actually touch me such was the pull of the pretentioner.

OMP Trecento Uno 300mm. Awesome, way better than the standard wheels. Adds to the go kart feel of a clio;-)
