correct me if im wrong (i dont think i am) but if you take 4 1f caps, and then wire them up in series (neg to pos) across the rails, you'll have a 4f total capacitance avalible...that baby would work very very nicely.
+ --------1f---1f----1f----1f------- _
i take it you mean from the battery its self? will be fine, but i would recomend disconnecting both terminals ( + and -) so if either of the connectors quickly touch the battery again it wont put a momen tery flash of voltage to your ecu. also, leave the connections off while you clean the...
hahaha your compairing people that have much greater power sources to run there equipment, not the standard 45amp battery and 45amp alt m8ty. jumping to a totaly different league with what you said. i think you'll find that there amps have caps BUILT IN, not big enougth to do the job of a 1f...
i would say you have more wrong than you think, the decat wouldnt make the einge work like that. i think you should look into what edde said, as the coils do like to pack up over time. also if your MAF sensor is up the creek it would produce your problems...
the cap dosnt have less resistance than the amp, the amp would pull the power if anything...
if the cap did hve more resistance, then it could be rectifiyed with a resistor before the cap to match the amp resistance
no its not! if its lower resstance, then the cabling isnt sufficiant! also, if the amps work on 12v's, it dosnt matter that theres a .7 volt drop if the cars producing 13volts...
no its there (well it is in my 1.2), to see if it is, just remove the top bit of dash, and look for connectors not connected to anything lol.
they do this as its cheaper to make a basic loom, rarther than get 3 different ones made up...
the best way to wire it up (from my personal findings) it to put 1 direct wire, and 1 via the cap, this way when the cap has less power than the direct supply, it simply bypasses it.
this is only + wires btw (for you that didnt know), the - is always str8 to car body. (unless you have a really...
the cap cant pull power from the amp if a diode it used m8ty, also .7volts is nothing when the amps are 12volt anyway and most car bats push out 13 or more, the problems with the amps on the volts ;)
i can see the point your making, but it does work, the one in my car proves that, it dosnt need to supply the amp with power, its only there to take the load when a bass note starts...just to stop the momentary power drain.
@ Dansta
how do you mean? it could possibly put a strain on the alt, thus using more enigne power to turn it over instead of turning your wheels over. i know if i out the window heater on in my new scienic, the engine drops revs a slight bit...
dink im not sure if you've noticed but were the only 2 posting in 2 threads. lol. so im gonna stop posting in this one for now, with my opinion of, yes run in your speaker, it dosnt take much and can only aid you in the long run.
it wouldnt if you had a cap installed, as the cap takes the 'volt drop', thus smoothing out the whole system., and if 1 cap dosnt do it for you, use 2 or 3!
