that wouldnt explain why mines doing it when its warm tho? what generaly/normally happens when the thrust bearings wearing out?

mine does this in the summer time...its ok right now (touch wood)

clio has just started making another new noise! bloody thing! its like a squeaking noise (like metal against metal), that goes squeek squeek squeek squeek in tiem with engine revs. also it only happens when the clutch is depressed, if i press the clutch the noise goes away.... thrust bearing...

haha never thought of it that way, but hey lets hope the batterys never die...lol.

hmmm not sure that will work as the orange colouring is acutally in the knob (its on the rear side of the knobs)...also thats just astick on plate, the actual orange bit would still be there, thus not work i take it?! gd idea tho! im not gonna pay £20 just to try tho lol. one day i'll cut a bit...

yeah its a mk1 ph3. my dials were really easy, mine dosnt have the orange tint paper on the bck, it had orange bulb covers, so just had to remove the covers then put the blue led's in. not alot of poeple know that led's will only work 1 way, so make the mastake of thinking theyve done it...
