Can someone please advise me on how to go about registering my replaced engine in my clio? The engine i the same type (no incress in size, just the same 1149diet) but from what iv picked up over time, it needs to be re-registered with my car, does...
i also dont agree, if any cars timin is set slightly out then it should produce flames with a spark. you just need to trick the ecu to inject the fuel a bit late so unburnt fuel goes down the exhaust.
as far as i know iv set them up right. i set the out put from the hu using my scope, so on full vol its not clipping (2 clicks down from clipping). and then i set the gain on the power amps, by again using the scope (on the speaker output this time tho) and raising the gain until it just starts...
yeah at 1ohm (2xpioneer ts-w3004spl's). atm with the small 75A alt the amp goes into clipping at about half vol, not good at all! (even tho its only dropping to 12.5v just before it clips) so i need a high power source!
whats the difference between 3 pin and 2 pin alts?
cant afford a new bat, i just got this one about 3 months ago! lol. i tryed looking for a higher output alt, but no luck! my alternator seems to have an adjustable slot on the top hole, to set the tension. i havent seen any other alt like it. its a 1.2 1997 btw. diet engine.
is it possible to wire up 2 alts in parallel? i need more ampers and just wondering the best way to get it for cheap. i dont want another bat or caps. any ideas?
that looks fine to me m8, tbh i cant see much diff at all in those pictures. the exhaust might be making the right one look more compact, and the left more open.
m8 if the car drives ok, id just fix the needed cosmetic damage. if you source it from scrap yard, it will be alot cheaper, maybe even under 500 if you good at looking. you dont have to get the panels sprayed for now really do you. this way you get to keep your no claims.
not saying for sure, but as you've mounted it on the back of your seats, then the case of the amp is in contact with the earth/negative of the car, this could be the source of your problem.
also are the 6x9's playing ok? or is the signal week? if so you may have blown the tranny/ic (not sure if...
yes my mistake, it is parallel...however the concept outcome of my theory remains the same ;)
btw how old are you dink? i know it totaly off topic but is interesting to know...
