Not level, inside is much higher. My Recaro frames are off the car in my garage at the moment, I can measure them later if you like to give you an idea.
Nice phase 1! Yours looked very clean with a nice ride height on the standard 15's. The RAOC look after us very well and I was chuffed to pick this up at the end of the day... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=511647895568129&set=pb.463821567017429.-2207520000.1370267894.&type=3&theater
Sorry if it's a repost, interesting lap times on the RS Clio's new and old... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPpg3aF2ZdQ
I think we would have all predicted the outcome to be exactly the same. It's a shame they put the Williams on cheap Chinese tyres!
Re: Painting syspension hubs - any advise?
Depends if you are taking them off the car or not. I took mine off and did them with Bilt Hamber hydrate 80 and gloss black spray paint. Still look great years later. Pics here...
My Oct 2003 172 has normal wishbones. I've had the car for 6 years and there is no paperwork to say that they might have been changed before my ownership.
I'm looking forward to it. At first I thought "not Combe again" having spent what seems like most of my life on track there (first time just two weeks after I passed my test over 20 years ago!). But on reflection I think it should suit FCS well. I'm going to try entering the concours this year...
They are at Autosport this weekend so I suppose it's reasonable for them to do a public release of the details when the show opens on Friday - just guessing!
I bought one of these in the end... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Battery-Terminal-Wiper-Arm-Alternator-Bearing-Puller-Tool-NEW-/230860183062?pt=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item35c056d616
