Depends on what level you want to go in at - just Zinc or Zinc and Nickel, filters, pumps heaters etc. Between £50 and £150.
I've cleaned them up since then - but you are right, they could do with powder coating again.
I clean it!
Thanks for understanding!
I'm sure this will baffle most people, but I was never that happy with the clean up of the suspension parts under the arches that I did last year (you might have seen it at CSS). Everything survived the winter apart from the nuts and bolts which started to rust. Rather then buy new nuts and...
Just finished fitting kitchen cabinets in mine. They were second hand but with new doors and a £30 Wickes worktop.
EDIT - just noticed there is already a link to my DW thread!
I'm going to try the road rash kit from these guys in the spring... http://www.chipex.co.uk/
As the rash is barely noticeable, I'm hoping the kit will be enough to hide them. Could always follow this up with some protection film as Tony suggested.
I'm looking for some clear instructions on the removal of the front subframe and I'm hoping that the CS Gurus can help (you know who you are!). I've done searches which have helped, but I could do with some more info.

Thanks again to all the admin team for putting this together. It was hugely impressive especially considering it was the first one. Thanks for my trophy, I didn't expect to win anything as a thought my antics would probably dismay and confuse most members!
Thanks mate. Although I still can't get over the fact the we spoke for at least an hour before you opened your bonnet having never mentioned your TDF throttle bodies - awesome!
Top day. A big thanks to all the admin team, your hard work over the last few months was evident and appreciated. Also, this was my first club event and I was genuinely impressed with the friendly club feel - even though I wasn't sure how my car on axle stands would go down! My prize was the...
One was unusable, the other had a couple of splits but OK to use.
And fitted...
For some reason the flash makes the airbag look more blueish - but it's hard to tell it apart from the wheel colour under normal lighting.
My thumbgrips were OK. I think he might be making GRP replacements for when existing grips are missing or damaged. These can then be trimmed or carbon'd like mine. Leather looked spot on to the old steering wheel colour - I'll know more tonight when I put it on the car.
Edge Automotive have been building up quite a reputation for high quality car re-trimming (you might have seen some of the complete 197 re-trims they have done) so I asked Steve to re-trim my melting 172 wheel - his first, probably not last! I opted for BMW Napa leather which is a sort of...
I used Bilt Hamber Surfex which is a good all purpose cleaner followed by Tardis to remove the tar spots. To make the plastic liners look new again I sprayed them with Swissvax MotorShine. Full details and pics here...
