Lots at the Ferrari Experience Day at Silverstone!

That was mine, thanks for the comments. Great day out. We'll have to try and arrive and park together next time and create our own budget corner of the carpark!

Defo more expensive. On the plus side, will do wonders for the second hand value!

    Can't fit new exhaust

They will make them on an order basis - you'll have to wait and it won't be anywhere near the old price. Not really their target market to be honest - it's all high end stuff.

    Can't fit new exhaust

I've fired off an email to Joe at BTB on your behalf. I would imagine (as they won't be making any anymore) this was probably one of the last ones on the shelf and didn't have a flange in case an early single lambda mark 1 came in and needed a different length. Packaging dept. may have sent it...

182 Anthracite wheel touch up paint

OK, I've found the paint and it's OK. The Label says it's from Autopaint St. Helens, tel: 01744 818102. It says paint code 205110 on it. I've made a right mess when I just opened it - sorry. Probably best to PM now old man 182 and we'll sort it out.

182 Anthracite wheel touch up paint

My wheels were powder coated in an anthracite colour which never matched the OE colour - so I didn't use my Ixell touch up in the end. Let me make sure I can find it in my garage later and I'll tell you the Ixell paint code on the bottle.

CSS Survey - A few points to note.

I had a sandwich and coffee and it was fine - experience has shown me this is often the best option. It's hard to imagine what can be done to please everyone without an endless budget. I used to run a car club and always hired the largest marquee we could for every event. Most of the time it...

All I can say is that I was very surprised to win the show and shine. The trophy is now on it's own shelf in my garage!

Re: The CSS pic thread I think it's done about 96k - I'll have to check. I've done over half of that since 2007. Retired it in June this year and It's now used for fun.

The CSS pic thread (warning: contains little to no photographs)

Re: The CSS pic thread Great photos of a fantastic day. Thanks for all the positive comments on my Monaco - I honestly didn't expect to win anything. It's much easier to keep a car tidy when you don't use it everyday anymore.

    Is this legal?

Technically an MOT failure for not having the postcode of the plate manufacturer on them.

Scare yourself to death car - Hennessey Venom GT

BTB made the exhaust... BTB’s most powerful exhaust record has been broken! Previously the most powerful piston engine that BTB had made a set of bespoke pipes for was on a Curtiss-Wright R-1820 Cyclone 9 cylinder radial engined Grumman F4F Wildcat WWII Fighter plane. Now that record has been...

Some quality time spent with a 90's icon

I wasn't allowed to touch them. They are aluminium and have a grey coating on them. They are being removed to be stove enamelled I think.

Some quality time spent with a 90's icon

I was asked by a friend to see if I could improve the paintwork on a Lotus Carlton. This particular example was not a perfect show car, nor does the owner want it to be one. Instead, an improvement in the gloss and the removal of the odd deeper scratch was asked for. Paint levels were an...

CLIO IV RS - Trophy from page 111

Re: CLIO IV RS for 2013, Last news VW's DSG isn't very reliable. In the states (where the consumer is king) they have had to extend the warranty to 10 years due to the amount of problems. I've had a brand new Grand Scenic with DSG box since last October and it's been superb so far... Time will...

    I've plated my nuts!

The plating is a sacrificial coating - i.e. it rusts so the nuts and bolts don't. This rust is called white rust. The zinc/nikel plate is actually better than the factory uses as the additional Nickel offers 5 times the resistance before white rust forms - that's about 1500 hours of salt spray...
