Clio Williams to return in 2012

A tie in with an F1 constructor that has managed so score a total sum of 4 points this year, lol! They aren't as successful as they were in the 90's.

    Clio 172 running gear resto

Glad my thread has been of interest. The blasting that BTB are doing on my back box uses water and glass under high pressure. The media used in stainless blasting has an effect on the finish. The glass will give it a uniform satin silver finish. Their tank is only used for smallish items and you...

    standard-ish soundin 172 stainless exhaust?

Standard BTB Stealth is 400, the Ninja is special order only and at least another £100 more. The Yozza is cheaper at £450 I think.

    standard-ish soundin 172 stainless exhaust?

The BTB is not standard noise levels, but it certainly isn't loud. They can make you a Ninja version if you want completely standard noise - but it'll cost you.

Thanks, but I don't think I'll bother lol. Best to read through the thread on DW - it's all in there.

    Clio 172 running gear resto

Yes it's mine. Didn't post it on here as I assumed (correctly as it seems) that it might baffle the CS massive. It's done nearly 90k miles, does around 10k miles a year and is used everyday. It now drives like new and will hopefully continue to give me enjoyable motoring for many more...

RenaultSport Clio 172 - Monaco Blue

I found my Monaco to have very hard paint. In the end, I had great correction from Megs 105 with an orange LC pad on the Flex 3401VRG - a very powerful combination. Then refined with Megs 205.

    Arch cleaning?

Best described as a clear gloss laquer that is semi-permanent. Resists water and remains flexible.

    Arch cleaning?

I've done multiple coats on all 4 arches and have used half of a £25 can. Another benefit to Motor Shine is that you can do the painted areas under the arch too, along with dampers, springs, hubs etc. Very easy to do as it's an aerosol.

    Arch cleaning?

I used Swissvax motor shine on mine. It's a sort of spray lacquer that is flexible and water repellant and comes in an aerosol. Plenty of info on what I did here (if you can access DW)... http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=201688

my exhaust needs welding (Warwickshire area) anyone fancy the job??

Not sure, best to call them. It used to be about £60, but that was if you had ordered an exhaust at the same time. Joe is a nice chap, give him a call and see.

my exhaust needs welding (Warwickshire area) anyone fancy the job??

Why not go to BTB (45 minutes from you) and get their cat mod done and replace the crap join once and for all? You can see pictures of the join on www.clio182btbexhausts.co.uk

New BTB goodies on car - stickers & laser cut badges

BTB have given me some nice new stickers for my car. These are destined for promo work but I've persuaded Joe to make a few more than he initially planned - so if you fancy some (free), get on the blower before they run out. Also, for identification purposes, all systems from now on...

Exhaust advice - and so the tuning begins

    As you want a stealth I imagine it's a 172. Best build + fit = btb!

    BTB Stealth fitted :)

I don't think the noise level is an age thing. Of all the Clio systems that have sold, BTB has only had two comments on the noise level. Out of those two, only one was bothered enough to have the system changed - hence the BTB Ninja was born. It's become clear to BTB over the years that we all...

    Autocar-Lotus Carlton.

Still some for sale every now and then. Price varies on quality - you need big wallets to run them now. Joe Ellis of BTB is a specialist, he raced his across Nevada averaging 160mph! Check out http://www.racecar.co.uk/lotuscarlton/

    Race Retro

    Quiet Exhaust for 172....

It's quiet enough for most people. They also do a Ninja version which has OE noise levels, but this is not sold as a performance exhaust.
