Mine was an emergency purchase (OE exhaust rusted and broke) so I never got a chance to test it. I planned to test the modded 182 cat but never got round to it!
It'll be nice to get some figures at last.
I see. Be good to see back to back tests though. If it's anything like their 182 system, peak power may only increase 1-2bhp, but the mid range will tell a different story.
Yes, mine was the prototype. You'll love the remap, mine is an off the shelf RSTuner remap and worked so well with the exhaust. Yours will be even better. Can't wait to see your plots.
From memory, the BTB 182 system started to gain both power and torque from 4000 rpm onwards. Resulting in a gain of 6bhp at 5000rpm (Can't remember the torque). Peak power was up 2bhp and 3lb/ft torque at 200 rpm higher. Figures obtained from same rolling road by Shed Motorsport who initially...

If it's of interest the RS2 will be replaced with a new improved design this year. However, Hankook UK aren't that interested in this end of the market are not sure that they will officially stock them in the UK. This will only effect your local tyre depots and anywhere that must buy from the UK...
Yozza would be quieter. BTB will produce greater power/torque. I don't think I would go down the RS2 route with anything but a true performance exhaust. Having said that, the Yozza back box is interchangeable and can be swapped for a (louder) race version when the time comes. You'll need to be...
The BTB Stealth is in a different league to the KTEC. There is no drone with a BTB. However, the BTB is a true performance system which features a full 2.5" bore throughout and proper performance silencers. As such the exhaust note will be deeper than standard, never intrusive or 'boy racer'...
It needs sorting out, but as it normally causes a problem at slow speeds, you should be alright for a while. The rings are about £10 each. Easy to fit, just need to pop the driveshaft out of the hub. Remove old rings (will be easy if they are snapped), heat up new rings with a heat gun to...
Fantastic video. I was lucky enough to see Ayrton Senna's Lotus 98T recently.

All these cars (apart from the Mercedes) are restored and run by the same lucky owner! The Mercedes was a 5500 hour rebuild for a wealthy American...
If the cat is working why remove it? It's a pretty good sports cat already. Ask BTB to enlarge the exit of the cat when they fit the system (fitting is free by the way). More details on this on their 182 micro site.
RS2's are being replaced with a new design next year. Hankook UK aren't sure when stocks will be in or even if they plan on stocking them in the UK at all. Still be available from online sellers who source from Europe though.
It's a crude emissions control system (not a fancy Honda VTEC!). Operates at 1900rpm. What you are feeling is the engine reaching 'optimum' performance and/or overcoming a slight torque dip.
We're mainly talking about the 182 and the bore difference between either side of it's sports cat.
A couple of pictures from BTB to illustrate...
BTB replace the normal join with a tightly clamping joint which is a bonus.
Mark Fish swears by it, BTB do it a lot. It removes the restriction on the outlet (from 2 inch to 2.5inch roughly). It isn't going do do any harm that's for sure, but whether it's worth the money is between your wallet and you!
