Right right right right down at the bottom ;) ...this bit...
What your razor sharp tester has completely missed is that your brakes are functioning correctly they just happen to be giving low effort from a fixed bias that's set by Renault at the factory - and the above clearly states that is...
I had a play about on the pad earlier, it's very sensitive.
I'll dig the wheel/seat out this week to see if I can do any better than my pitiful atempts so far.

Exactly!
They have a very sound capable chassis on skinny (ish) tyres, and with the puny engine you can drive flat out everywhere and have it moving about while you do it.
Who cares if they're slow when you feel like a hero as you chuck it into the next bend. Fun.
Aye, that's the only time I use the extra rpm I have available.
Completely pointless at any/all other times...much quicker progress made by shifting into the next gear.
£800 plus fitting for a recon 'box from Renault.
My clutch lasted until 95k and was working just fine before the springs went.
Gearbox made it to 112k before a wayward cone gave it a whack and it ate itself internally.
I have no cage in my Cup but it does have a fixed bucket seat and 3 point harnesses as well as being stripped to the bare metal.
Day to day use? No problem. I've never had the problem of not being able to see due to harnesses no matter how tight I strap myself in, and so long as you accept you...
