I don't get the lack of love for these wheels?
OK, they're nothing special, but what's so bad about them?
Wasn't long ago amphasite was the ONLY colour to have...
Had a good blast out in it yesterday. If I didn't have a f***ed foot :( he'd have let me give it some death across the downs.
Feels incredible as a passenger, as comfortable as my Focus, yet as fidgety and tight as my Cup only more so, no body roll, and more grip than you'll ever need.
My mate got the correct spoiler fitted yesterday after a dealership mix-up...I think I'm in lurve and now thinking how much I could get for my lovely mint condition well cared for 172 Cup LOL. The 200 Cup's run in now so had a proper run out in it, I want one, badly.
You should avoid using engine braking to slow the car, engine and gears are to go, brakes are to slow .
How much is a new gearbox/clutch? How much are new brake pads/discs? I know which I'd much rather pay for and get changed!
As far as getting through pads so quickly, (sticking calipers...
Re: Throttle Potentiometer - What to do?
Same here, although for me a secondhand throttle body bought on here for £25, and 5 mins and 4x 10mm bolts later fixed it.
I'm on DS2500s now having just replaced a set of CLs...
With the CLs you get two brake pads in one. A nice low temp. pad that bites and holds on well and is all you ever get or indeed need on the road.
Then there's the high temp. side of things, a lap to warm them through then they come...
I miss my Turinis, 172 Cups look lovely like that, all nice and original...sniff.
Can't help with an Outlon video, the only time I dragged myself up there the day was snowed off :(
Ah, OK, doesn't sound like a viable option then. Guess I'll just have to invest in another Origin b2.
Reason I had a 182 'box fitted was that it was available from a trusted member on here right when I needed a new one, and it was a good price. Wish I'd held out for a 172 one now though...
Nice Cup! Your reaction to how it drives is just like mine was after I moved up from my V6 Mondeo back in '03 :approve:
Any 52 plate Cup with what appears to be the original factory fitted front splitter still attached has probably had an easy life.
I'm fed up of having no speedo in my Cup since a 182 'box was fitted, can I go down the route of making it pick up the speed from ABS rings?
If so, does the speedometer work on the same inputs or will I need a speedo from a 182?
If a 182bhp Clio will do 140mph, then to get that same car to do 170mph you will need 326bhp. This assumes gearing etc. can be changed to suit. Against increasing air resistance you need the cube of the speed multiple times the power.
So to get a Clio to do as much as 200mph you'd need 531bhp...
