you can get new boots that dont even require you to take the disc brake off btw...
the engine i bought to replace my blown one looks a bit, well crap...lol. so im cleaning up the bits on my old engine, then will replace with the other engine bits!
belows is before and after pics, it not finished yet... im not going for the "mega" shine that the brave mega hard polishing...
^^^ yep thats the way its done! lol. and if you crash it, get it home somehow, and put the old parts back on, or just take the new bits off...say they must have fell off in the crash...

i did mine myself...the kit cost me £65 for tensioner and belt. its not hard to do. simply put a trolly jack under the engine to support the weight and you'll be fine...
oh right...so theres ment to be a cap on the end of the sproket then...i take it thats what hold the spring in place to!
did you manage to drive it like that?! i would have thought it would do major damage to your fly wheel! lol.
^^^ yeah me to...the 1.8 body isnt going to be any saffer, they will both crumble to nothing in a crash...
if you want it for looks, you'd be better of swapping body panels if its possible...
i agree with Daz - putting a 1.4 in place of a 1.8 16v is unheard of...lol.
iv never seen air tem sensor ones. i think the main ones are mas flow sensor based, basically puts a bit more fuel in to compensate for the extra air it thinks its got going thru...
