TRX has been replaced by TRJ iirc. Renault should sell whatever the latest stuff is if you were hellbent on elf oil. Otherwise get on opie oils and order some Motylgear 75w80 decent stuff.
Is there no white residue anywhere obvious? Feel the bottom of the stat housing it'll be covered in it if its leaking from there, its a white chalky residue you're looking for. Very distinctive smell.
Laser one will bend if its left in trying to crack the pulley fixings, you'll have to get a renault one and i'd still be careful then without the old belt on.
Other pikeyish option (but it does get you out the s**te) is they'll knock round with a hammer and chisel easily enough with a slot cut...
The smack its taken on that side has probably damaged the driveshaft if not the gearbox. Is there any play in the shaft? If you do change it remember to drain the gearbox oil first as thats a wet cv joint on that side.
