    Spax quality issues

Re: Spax quality issues seemed to have been brushed under the carpet..... How stran Trust me, this won't get into an arguement. lol. I have given a full and detailed reasoning regards the first thread to those involved, not that I had to, but I have. Thems the rules i'm afraid. I didn't...

    Spax quality issues

Re: Spax quality issues seemed to have been brushed under the carpet..... How stran Chaps, I'd remind you all to read the rules before posting further on questioning the moderation decisions on the forum. Not that I, or any of my team have to justify anything, but no, that wasn't the case at all.

Would you be bothered about the miles on this 197?

That's very cheap. As for mileage, it's only done 79k, I can't see the problem? Suspect there will be some issue with it though.

Removing an injector from the rail.

    Thanks mate, sounds easy enough.

Removing an injector from the rail.

Do they just twist and pull off the rail, or are there clips to release? I've got to swap one out later. Cheers

    R27/197 handbrake problems

I just don't park the car with the handbrake anymore, it's simply not fit for purpose IMO. your problem will be the cable popping off the back of the handle in the car. Sit in the back and slide both seats forward. Using a torx screwdriver undo 2 bolts, one each side of the plastic handbrake...

Timing.......FAO, MWM, Fred, Chip, 519, Birchdown

Does anyone on here have the proper group N tool? I'd love to give it a go on mine just to see what happens. I don't care if it runs as rough as houses on idle either, it rarely gets used.

    More Issues with dodgy maps!

Total agreement. If company A has issue with Company B then why don't they deal with it appropriately? All thats happened here is company A is trying to get one over on company B through public social media and now company B is doing the same back. I find it totally childish. I read another...

    Modified 197's

I took the wind deflectors off of mine but I might stick them back on tbh. I take a terrible picture as well! The fuel doesn't bother me too much now, I just use it once a week to compensate! :)

    First weigh-in for the ph1

Sparco Circuits. It's being corner weighted in the next week or so actually so I'll let you know what happens. I've removed more weight but the cage probably weighs a fair amount!

    First weigh-in for the ph1

I got my ph1 down to 930 before the cage went in. That was with a spare wheel and jack as well.

    Coilovers - H&R vs GAZ?

AST's are overkill for 99.9999% of users on here imo. Try and find yourself a pair of older style H&R's (before they went slightly ropey) and they'll suit all your needs. They are well made and provide a very compliant ride for use on English roads.

    Jon's Trackday PH1 172 project thread

Had a good weekend with the car. Spent some time on Thursday with Dan @ 519. Fitted Cup wishbones (yes, confirmed loads more caster) with Polybushes and also polybushed the front ARB. Adjusted AST top mounts. Sorted out a sensible level of front end camber and alignment! Thanks to Dan for all...

    182 or 197?

Not in my experience. The Mk3 is much more solid than a Mk2.
